I have played in The Queens. It cannot be considered as a standard badminton court. The ceiling is way too low for any high serve or clear. Because the walls are all full glass panel, it is too glaring in the day, and in the night, the lighting on the ceiling is too close to the middle of the court that it momentarily blind you if you look up at the wrong angle.

The 2 aircon units on the left of the court also extended out into the side line, and you can see many shuttles actually landed on the top of the aircons. A shuttlecock's graveyard!

To me, it is not designed as a badminton court, but it was made into one to make full use of the space available. Avoid playing there if you have another alternative.

Castle Green Condo near Yio Chu Kang MRT.

Spotiswoode Park. Not exactly a condo but believe its privatised.

Both badminton venues have parquet flooring. Very popular amongst residents.

If you are playing at Kerrisdale, suggest you wear well-cushioned badminton shoes as the court is quite rough and hard (I get backaches after I play there :crying:) Then again, your shoes might wear out very fast if you often play there imho. There might be a draft sometimes but its interesting to play in a badminton court with mirrors on all 4 sides. :)

off topic, if you are a member of the fitness club at Hyatt Hotel, you can play at the air-conditioned badminton court there. I think it cost S$10/hour. Heard the Brunei prince plays there.

Thanks all posting. *sigh* Looks like there isn't much condo with decent badminton court around.
    1. The Queens (Stirling Road, near Queenstown MRT) - Low ceiling
    2. Kerrisdale (Sturdee Road) - Mirrored glass 'walls'.
    3. Parc palais ( upper bukit timah)
    4. Yong An Park (River ValleY)
    5. Castle Green Condo near Yio Chu Kang MRT.
    6. Spotiswoode Park (not exactly condo) - Decent courts

    BTW, side topic.
SBA is closing soon, and anyone know of some good courts (eg. School) that can accept long-term booking ?

    Hi Loh,
It means SBA leasehold is up for Guillemard site. Fatty Weng already shifted its restaurant business. Hopefully SBA can find a new site or get an alternative location quickly.:p
