Dear All, My name is K. I live in Bangkok and Nonthaburi. If you want to play badminton in Bangkok or all over Thailand, I might help put you in touch with some groups. Cheers, K June 07
Oh there is a Thai badminton web sites. It is a good idea to get in touch with plenty of Thais through that websites. Although it is in Thai, it still has English options -- just look for Eng buttons. And you can apply to be a member there -- no fees. Below is what I wrote to someone hoping he wanted to ask around for playing badminton in Bangkok. Cheers, K ===== I have a good idea. Why don't you become a member of www.thaibadminton.com, and ask around if someone want you to join in their regularly-play group. You just say something about yourself, and the basics: (1) you cannot read Thai, (2) which area you prefer to play, and (3) which day and what time, and (4) a brief story of yourself. I am sure there will be many who will reply your post and invite you to have a good time with them. Believe me this is a good idea, and you might end up turning down several pleasant offers from the nice Thai members of the web site. Try it. Here is some hints to guide you. > www.thaibadminton.com > Logo (TBW Club) > (Select Language) The Union Jack > Register > Register (on the blue band right at almost the top) > (Fill in your information) (I have never received any spam mails from them) > Submit > (Not sure if new member is brought to a log-in page) > Forum > (Click where shown in the image attached) > New Poll button > write what you want to say the the whole members. There must be some reply your post in English. K ====

Sorry I miss your post. Sorry that I miss your message; I don't know why. Please post the message again in case you come to Thailand for badminton. Cheers, Kay PS: Please subscribe to Thaibadminton.com to ask for any help as there are plenty of Thais who are willing to help you and make your badminton games or practice a memorable time for years. Believe me. No problem if you cannot read Thai! Look for English menu and post it in English. They will talk, greet and comfort you. Thais understand WRITTEN English well enough for general communication. A Swedish really did so and he was happy to practice with very good coach, and having several good games. ====
Thanks for your interest for the two Thai players. I don't have information for most of the Thais including the two. My suggestion is that you subscribe for Thaibadminton.com and post it. There will be several/many give you the information. They are happy to talk with foreigners. Thaibadminton.com never sends you anything like spam mail or trade your email address. Search for 'Albert_K' in Thaibadminton.com, and send me your greeting so that I will keep an eye on your post to help out. Cheers, Kay
Thanongsak is still a teenager in his last year at high school. He played very well at SCG World Grand Prix Thailand 2008 last month. He was out of the tournament by the number 1 Thailand player. His smash is so good!
could you suggest a place to play me? Hi, I am new in BKK and will live here for a year. Could you suggest a place for me to play or refer some players? I live around soi 20 of Sukhumvit (Skytrain Asok station). I am intermediate level. many thanks.

Thaibadminton.com in English As said, Thaibadminton.com is in both Thai and (awkward) English. Just click UK flag to make it in English. Of course, there are some things in Thai, and almost all posts are in Thai. However, many will talk to you in English if you introduce yourself that you are no Thai. Try it again. You will be surprised by the number of badminton lovers replying to your posts as friends. ==== Other foreigners did do it, so do you. Here are my guide for you. Yes...You are right that some menus are still in Thai. Allow me to guide you more. You must apply to be a member: After clicking on the U.K. flag > Register > Menus and discription appear in English. You would understand with some guess. Sorry about that. Thailand is never ruled by other nations! You can post only when you are a member. The new change has been made that you cannot seen any post unless you log in (as a member). Check the images attached to get to know some Thai words. When clicking on 'New Topic,' menus you need are in English. You will know how to get around. You can just simply ignore some Thai sentences -- they are about rules. Type in English to introduce yourself, and ask what you want. I'm sure many will reply you in English, and welcome you to join in. Better add your photo to create friendliness. Hope I don't miss anything. Cheers, Alber K ===End=== ===
For Thais who interested in Badminton usually go to www.thaibadminton.com to share Badminton info. and everything about Badminton in that website. I usually log in that website almost everyday too.
