From what i know this is """the lightest racket in the world""". So im just wondering is there anything lighter. And if its so light why dont many people use it ?
The Sl-70 is indeed the lightest racket however just because its the light doesnt mean everyone will use it. Having the lightest racket in the world wouldnt mean that you would have the hardest smash. A racket is chosen based on one's playing style and preferences.
its mass wise, very light, but its deceptively so. the thing is extremely head-heavy, thus more than likely to be difficult to get used to.
too light "And if its so light why dont many people use it ?" many people don´t use it just because it is that light.
Let me clear this thing.I got karakal SL-70 too.So I bring along when I look for new racket at Permai Sport JB (Malaysia). They got a digital scale for customer to weight a racket on the display shelve. So I took this opportunity to weight my Karakal SL-70.Surprise!!!!! I swear it was not 70 grams or 75 grams+grip. But 84 gram+grip ? what the heck !!,then I weight the prince triple treat racket, it only 82 gram+grip and Fleet racket forgot the model 79 gram+grip. So I sell one of my Karakal SL-70 because when I hit the sweet sport it feel and sound like hitting a rattan(cane). Yesterday just went there again and weight Apacs racket all model within 84-86 grams+ grip. Then I bought two Apacs power concept 800 for my friend and test at home with my power concept 900 emmmh..!!!! 900 suit me (flexy).
I am a representative for Karakal in The Netherlands, and for me personally it's not heavy enough. I train/coach some children/girls of the age of 14 and 15, they love to play with this racket. For them it's easy to hit powerful shots. Greetings Coacheric www.coacheric.nl
that pretty much sums it up: lighter is not always better. it is personal preference. personally, i think most 3U are too light. most of my favorite rackets are 2U, 90-94grams.
