I see a number of people commenting that "upgraded" insoles, ie SuperFeet Performance Green, or custom insoles are better for the pounding on the knees etc. I have customer orthotics which I am considering putting into my asic gels. My concern is that when i pulled out the regular insoles from the show they were about 1 mm thick. My orthics approach 10mm in thickness at the heel. When i drop in the custom insoles my ankles are 1 cm farther "out" of the shoe, due the the added lift given from the orthics. The shoes are already low enough cut on the heels as is. Has anyone else had this problem or felt a danger on their ankles etc, or feeling "out" of the shoe?
I think that there is different orthotics for normal walking or sports thats why when I get mine, the orthodontists ask me if its for normal day to day walking or for sports like this one. and orthotics are usually really heavier than sports insole. And you might also want to try that special insole like the one in the pic, I will try it once I get some.
Thanks for the reply. I actually have 2 pairs of orthotics. 1 sport and one normal. Im going to naturally put in the sports ones, but they are still rather high....
