U-shaped grommets, why?
Some racquet have these grommets installed near the throat area, some don't. What's the purpose of these grommets compared to normal grommets?
I installed these in my D600 wherever i could (throat area, 12, 3, 6 o clock) and will test out to see if it feels any different...

becaue right abovethe throat up little more is where the sweet spot is.
where you're supposed to hit usually.

Do a search and you will find there are posts on this subject already. Yes, they are use to produce some MP grommet effect. It is for the 4 center mains to move more freely. This will help reduce string break during hard smash and suppose produce harder smash with same force. Only 1 draw back which Yonex does not mention. It will wear out the jacket of crosses in the sweetspot area faster. But most of people don't care any way.
