you should! I know these - none of these three patterns matches the one of AT700! If you don't believe - look here: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=220073&postcount=22 But that description is also wrong (even the pic horizontal flipped ;-) Is there no official source from Yonex? Ciao, Andre
I don't see the relevance of that post. Explain why you think the "Other racquets" pattern does not work for AT700
I thought Yonex recommends 4Knot-method and mine is strung this way initially (as you can see from the pic). So how can Neil's instructions be officially when its strung 2Knot?? Ciao, Andre
1) What Neil post is official Yonex string pattern. It is 4 knots method. Please read it carefully. 2) The AT700 cross tie off is at wrong grommet.
I'm really glad I got the old version... Looks much better! Very good thread by the way... My AT700 is also strung with 4 knots...
Hi Andre, According to Yonex stringing pattern, to start cross from the top the string tie off at B6. If start cross from throat, the starting tie off on B6. Your cross tie off at B11. Also, the stringer was a little lazy and the main tie off at B7. It is suppose to tie off at B8.
I have two of the AT700. Same stringing pattern fresh from the store. I suppose its strung by Yonex. The pattern suggested here and in the official description above is different. So I'm confused 8-( This week I get my Challenger I and I'll try to string the official pattern to one of the AT700. So this will be my first string job and I hope I don't break anything ;-) Thank you for your patience, Andre
If you've never strung a racket before, would suggest you use an older/cheaper racket using cheap strings for practice (a few times) first before you string your AT700. And I don't think Yonex prestrings their higher end rackets from the factory... the store you bought it from didn't string your racket to Yonex specifications.
stringing old rackets first was my plan too But that AT700 is not strung from factory is new information for me This would also explain why its impossible for me to get an Yonex racket in whole town (Munich/Germany). I had to order it from online store (in fact from two different stores, with different strings (BG65 and BG68TI) but same string pattern Ciao, Andre
I agree with SH completely. If you want to keep Yonex warranty, go with Neil's post. And yes, andre your AT700 is using the wrong gromment to tie off the cross.
one last question: if the sringing pattern is wrong for both of my new AT700 and the shop I buyed it from stringed the racket, how can there be the Yonex logo you see on the pic Ciao, Peter
one last question: if the string pattern on both of my new AT700s is wrong and they were not strung by Yonex, how can there be the Yonex logon on it as you see from the pic above
