KUALA LUMPUR: National badminton player Kuan Beng Hong would be out of next week's Thailand Open after being admitted into hospital on Sunday for suspected dengue. The 24-year-old Beng Hong said he'd been suffering from fever for the past one week. "Blood samples have been taken but the doctor has not diagnosed the problem yet," he said. Having missed one week's training, he was withdrawn from the Thai Open by national singles coach Misbun Sidek. "It is best that he rests at home. He missed out a lot on training," said Misbun. Other than Beng Hong, Misbun's two top players - Lee Chong Wei and Mohd Hafiz Hashim - are also skipping the Thailand Open. They are gearing up for the China Masters, which is the seventh leg of the Super Series, to be held in Chengdu from July 10-15. http://www.thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2007/6/25/sports/20070625144639&sec=sports
