Will pick-up a flyer and post it in this thread the next time I play at Pudu. I had a quick glimpse once at the prices but thought that they were on the high side ... will post soon.

Hey badminton enthusiasts! I was at Pudu Badminton Hall to witness a badminton training session Sunday from 9-11 am. The academy, Featherlite Badminton Academy was coached by Mr Koo and his partner. Mr Koo is the brother of our Malaysian men’s doubles player Koo Kien Keat.

The students started their training by doing some warm up such as stretching and some light run ups which was lead by the coaches. After that, the coaches started to teach the students the techniques of playing badminton. The teaching style of the coaches is professional and students who learn from this academy will benefit a lot in terms of being able to learn from the best. These coaches also go the extra mile in coaching in the sense of coaching the students a little bit more even though the training session time is over.

Students who undergo training with this academy can adapt to the coaching style of Mr Koo and his partner. They are very determine to learn the correct techniques of playing badminton and as such, they are very focused in their training. The strategic planning in doing coaching also make the students interested in the training.

Interested students can find the details of the training as attached. There are four different categories that students can join which are group coaching, personal coaching, college/school coaching and corporate coaching. The price for each of the categories are as below...

Group Coaching (Beginners/ Intermediate) RM120 per month

    Personal Coaching
One on One RM80 - RM120 per hour
One on Two RM50 - RM100 per hour

School / College / University Team Per contract Basis (Contact if have enquiries)

Corporate Team Per contract Basis (Contact if have enquiries)

For further enquiries, please contact Mr Calvin Koo at 012-3331054 or Mr Rick Yeoh at 017-6363903.

I will attached the registration form ASAP. So what are you still waiting for? Registration is open so ACT FAST!! This will be the starting point towards the success of a player!

Thanks. Do drop by whenever your time coincides with the training.

Do you play often or were you a school/district player previously? If you are already playing regularly, I reckon that your game is quite okay. Just need to improve on some basic strokes or foot work.....Suggest that you take up personal coaching as your learning curve will be faster. :D

    Training

    Dear all,

Me and my wife have been attending the training session at Heritage Centre for more than a month now. At first, it was tough for us as we haven't been doing drills for ages. After a few sessions, as our bodies got used to the training, we began to see a mark improvement in our play and movement.

All i can share is, that training helps and the coaches' guidance and tips were informative and sensible. Both of us are very happy that we made a good decision in joining this training group. The coaches are friendly and helpful, and the sessions are enjoyable as well as tiring. Moreover, i am losing my pot belly, as i am fitter now (yahoooo!!).

So, to those out there who have any doubts about going for coaching and training.....doubt no more. Go sign up and lead a healthier life! Fyi, my age is 40....Life starts at forty, eh!!!

    Cheers everyone,
    Richard
