So the SHB-100 LEs arrived at SGVBC. I was so happy (like a kid at a candy store), I rushed down to purchase a pair because panda's like new shoes. :p

Anyway, the largest size they had was 11.0 US. "Danngit!" I say but I still take the shoes out-of-the-box and look because new shoes are so shiiiiiny!

Uhhhhhh? The size 11.0 looks about the same length as my size 12.0. Could it be? So, I put the shoes side by side and low and behold, the 11.0 LE is the same length as my 12.0 MX! However, the 11.0 LE was significantly narrower, I barely could get my feet in the shoe. Thinking there was a mistake, I checked all the size 11.0 LEs and they were all the same length as my size 12.0 MX, just narrower...

    ...Grrrrrr...:p

In case you don't know, prior to this, Yonex shoe sizing was already whacked (at least for me). I normally wear Size: 13.0 US. This includes Mizuno, Nike, Asics Tiger, Adidas, Merrill and New Balance. My Yonex SHB-98, 99-MX, 99-LE and 100-MX are all size: 12.0 US and they are the same length as my size 13.0 shoes. Now I find out Yonex has the same length for the 11 and 12 100-MX and LE just different widths (probably the same for the 99s, I didn't check)...this really confuses things.

If you're confused by this post, in a nutshell: if at all possible, when purchasing Yonex shoes, try them on at the shop. If the size is a bit too large or small, try half to one full size smaller or larger and see how they fit. You never know, as I learned.

Heck, if my feet were narrower, I could wear the size 11.0 LEs...makes me wish I didn't have panda feet. :p

Now where can I purchase size 13...I mean 12.0 US Yonex SHB-100-LEs?

ahahha yeah maybe some feedback for yonex to standardise their shoe sizes..but that is so weird ....same range but different size...if it was 90mx and then 100mx different size then i understand...different sizing within the same model range...weird..

anyways...good luck searching for your panda sizes ...all good things come to people who wait.... :p or you can purchase online since you know what size you want...

Begging should get you bad karma

When I've bought Asics I found I needed them to be 0.5 size larger than Yonex

I agree, I just bought a pair of Yonex SHB-100 size 9.5 shoes and they're way bigger than my SHB-99 9.0 shoes.

Hope you'll find a pair of SHB-100LE's that fit you. :)
But whoa you have large feet

Dink, if you don't mind paying the shipping and possible customs duty/taxes, and providing they agree to ship to the US from Denmark:

    http://www.badmintonstore.dk/default.asp?pageno=100&cat=13

They've got them in EU sizes 45 to 47, which should be US 11.5 to 13.

This thread reminds me of Little red riding hood:
"My, grandma, what huge feet you have!":D:D:D

That's the other problem, the medium sizes seem to be smaller than its peers while the small sizes seem to be spot on. Who knows?

Well, same size issue happened to me. I ordered SHB-100Mid size 26.5 from Japan because this is my size with the other yonex shoes.
But when it came, the shoes is actually way too small for me. Weird right?
So, I bought another pair, this time the size is 27.5, and it fits perfectly the way the other shoes do.
Conclusion, SHB-100 seems to have a smaller sizing "scale" ^_^

i don't know about the shb-100s, but the shb-99s that i have definitely are a significantly different size to my other sport shoes. which is why i took particular care when ordering them, like you've said, by going to a physical shop and trying them out first.

given the conclusions here, it looks like we're going to have to do that between different models of shoes as well. that's just annoying, i wish yonex would at least be consistently wrong with all their different models of shoes.

I was thinking of ordering Yonex shoes online to save money from buying them at a higher price in some local stores, but I guess it's safer to spend the little extra cash to get the right size.

Or try it out in local store and buy the same size and model on line.

i have similar experience. My current US 8.5 shb89mg feels a bit loose and when i went shopping for the shb100mx, i ask to try on a size 8 but the store clerk said he just sold the last pair of size 8, so i end up trying a pair of 8.5. I was surprised to find the 8.5 shb100mx fits very snuck. In this case, the shb100mx seem to feel like at 0.5 size smaller than previous models.

my shb-100M fit like a charm (US 12, 30cm, EU46) while my shb-99M were way too small (after trying them on after my Hi-tec fad)

that's why you shouldn't buy shoes without trying them on ;)

i ordered my 100 (gold) from shuttle-house and i ordered 27.5 (US 9.5) and they fit perfectly better then my 99MX same shoes size but it was really tight in the toe area while the 100's is wider in the toe area.

What do you suggest for SMB100 sizing if I have 10.5 regular shoes?

There's no badminton store in my area for literally about 2+ hours, so I have to buy online.

No way, you're crazy Jerry. :p Both my 99s fit significantly looser than my 100s. I just go my 100 LTDs and they are even tighter than the 100MXs!

I don't know what's wrong with Yonex sizing.

Nope, I still have my 99-MX and 99-LE as well as 100-MX and just got a pair of 100-LEs. The 99s are wider than the 100s. This is weird:

99MX: fits OK, ideal with one pair of socks
99LE: fits well, ideal with two pairs of socks (wider/looser than 99MX)

100MX: fits OK, ideal with one pair of socks (narrower than the 99s)
100LE: fits OK, ideal with no socks (narrower than the 100MX)

    Go figure. :rolleyes::confused: :p
