thanks for the feedback gsloh.

i have tried them yesterday. i did read about the fact that it might cause a bit of pain and discomfort the first few times but luckily for me, no pain or discomfort whatsoever. just felt weird a bit because i can feel the bulge.
result after wearing them for an hour session of badminton, it was ok. i usually have plantar fasciitis to contend with the next morning after i wake up and the soreness in the knees area but the morning after, the plantar fasciitis are nearly not there. the knees area are a bit sore but it is in a different area. not as sore as before though. maybe my legs and back are realigning themselves.
indeed, it is a bit slippery but thankfully not too much. i would try out the shoe grips if it gets worse. having the insoles in my shoes made the shoe felt like it fit me better.
i would still love to try superfeet if i could get me hands on them...har har har.

stabil 7
Any update on the stabils dink??
I tried em for the second time this time onn rubber courts. I feel they could be a bit stiffer. I guess that's the traded off for a lighter shoe, so I'm thinking sf green might be better. Mind you I haven't tried any of the superfeet yet but I've got a couple of pairs of blue on the way.
There's some SHB 100s on ebay and also the SHB-100 ltds as well and both are going for around $80 shipped and if they are better I will buyem...
Has anyone had shoes shipped to the US before? ...I'm wondering if you need to pay duties or taxes ... I know here in Canada we get charged taxes AND duty for shoes and clothes so that would pretty much break the deal.

shb-100s to ltd or not to ltd
Ok so what is the difference between the regular and the limited edition?
I know it's been discussed but I've read so much about it I'm not sure anymore... I remember reading how the tongue is more breathable on the ltds, that they are stiffer, wider.... is any of this true?
Just so there's no confusion i'd like to know specifically the difference between the SHB-100 and the SHB-100 LTD once and for all.
I don't really like the gold but if it's a better shoe I would pick it.

Hi Bolts, I received the Stabil 7s about an hour ago. Unfortunately I will be returning them for a few reasons:
1) The size: 12.5US is long enough, actually as long as my Size: 13.0 Asic Tiger Gel Nimbus but the shoe is way too narrow.
2) The shoe weighs 16.75oz. (with stock insole) which is significantly heavier than my 100 LTDs (with SFB) which only weighs: 14.25oz. The 100s would be lighter with the stock insole.
3) The shoe looks a bit odd in Size: 12.5. I think it would look better in a smaller, more compact size.
The shoe did feel "stabil" and had good grip.
At least I got some pictures...coming in a few minutes...

Shb 100
There's a 10 cent difference between the shb 100s and the LTDs on ebay!
So what is the difference besides the esthetics?... are the shoes the same besides the tongue etc?
I really don't like the gold color of the ltds...
Sorry to hear the stabils are too narrow for your feet dink....
Now all you need is to try the ashaways!
The ashaways are bricks mind you

You need to do a search on the differences, it's been talked about many times and if you don't like the Gold color, just get the regular MX.
I'm not going to try any shoe that's "heavy" no matter how good it is.
I need speed because I don't have any.
I reordered the new 100 LTDs...

Ok, where do you get the Yonex shoes in size 13+? My club doesn't have any badminton shoes larger than 11 or so.
And how do the Yonex fit vs your normal shoe size? I wear a 13 normally but I just tried on some Asics and the Gel-rocket III in size 13 was too short and the Gel-rocket 4 in size 14 was too narrow.
DinkALot, do you know what your SHB-100's weigh with a stock insole? It seems that I can get volleyball shoes in the 10-12oz range which would seem to be about what badminton shoes weigh.
Or maybe the Ashaway AMPS 301 at 12.1oz or AMPS 311 at 12.8oz or the AST 3500i at 13.7oz.

Hi Ben: don't believe the hype.
It's all relative.
#1: Yonex badminton shoes go to a max of size: 13.0 US.
#2: There's no universal shoe size/width, that's why you have to actually try the shoe to confirm it's a correct fit.
#3: Manufacturers state a shoe weight but they don't usually tell you for what size. My Mizuno Wave Lightning 4s are stated to be 12.7 oz. BUT in Size: 12.5, they are 15.0oz. Add SF and it's more like 16+oz. So, they are a bit heavier than my 100s.
#4: If you have bigger feet, try the SHB-91. They are wider and longer than the normal Yonex badminton shoe.
#5: To date, for me, still nothing beats then SHB-100 with Super Feet Blue for badminton. It's best by a good margin.

Suggesting that any light indoor court shoe might be better than my current heavy outdoor tennis shoes?
So if they are relatively true to fit then I will probalby be able to wear Yonex shoes but it will be close.
That is an excellent point. On one site they stated that the weight for a given pair of shoes was for size 8. I'm sure that isn't standardized but it wouldn't suprise me if the listed weight is for sizes in the 8-9 range and bigger sizes will just weigh more.
Adding 3oz to the listed weight seems like a good rule of thumb for those of us who wear clown shoes.
Ok, where do I find Yonex shoes above size 11? Special ordered from Yonex?
I find it really interested that the insole not only increases your comfort but other factors that I wouldn't have expected like transition. Luckily superfeet are 20% at REI through may 11th so I'm going to give them a try.
