Insoles/Footbeds
Anyone tried the Orthaheel footbeds before?
I was shopping around over the weekend and came across some orthaheels, namely the Sports version. Browsing around the website - www.orthaheel.com or www.walkpainfree.com I also saw there is a shock absorber version (SF Orange equivalent?).
Being nosy, I went back to the shop and took the Sports one out from the packaging. It looked pretty similar to the Superfeet green that I have, with a rigid heel cup at the back. I think the Orthaheels have a higher arch than the SFG's, which was be uncomfortable for some.
I'm tempted to give these a try, as they are around £5 (USD $10) cheaper than the SFG in the UK; thought I should ask around to see whether anyone has tried and and what their opinion of these were. In any case, I won't be spending the money until payday, so thought I should ask
Edit - found out that the US postal add for them is in San Rafael, California - so thought it might entice our SoCal Panda to check them out
.

Martin, where in Ontario do you live in? I bought mine at the New Balance store in Bayview Village. It's on Bayview and Sheppard, just north of the 401.

I have been trying the super feet green for almost 8 hours on SHB 99 Low.
The first 2 hours were difficult, I am so slow on everything. However as time progresses it I am getting more used to it.
There is a lot comfort, but it is pretty stiff and feels funny.Perhaps I have not gotten used to it yet.
Dinker, any suggestion??

the stiff plastic "capsule" used is supposed to be "pretty stiff" but feeling funny, no, it shouldn't be feeling funny.
i would suggest giving it more time.
if your feet hurts or exhibits signs of discomfort, remove them for the rest of the day, and give them another go later on.
it should get better. if not, then maybe it just wans't meant for your feet.
