No more PW11 updates. I can't get my hands on any more 11s as there was a recall on the racket. There was a problem with the end cap/handle.

I should have kept the one I originally had; at least until I finished testing.

    Default Great review

    Hi DinkAlot,

I think it's an excellent review of the high end racquets.

Got a question, how do you define racquet power and racquet defense?

I assume by defense, you mean how fast/comfort you can hit/swing the backhand lob return to a smash. And power by how far you can hit baseline to baseline?

Seems like there's no perfect racquet in the world, so I stick to my old racquets for now. Good job.

I define the ratings in the first two sentences of the review:

"Overall ratings are relative to its peers. All ratings are subjective, not cumulative."

You are at least the tenth person to ask me this. This tells me some are not reading the title, just going straight to the reviews. Either that or my American english is different than international english.

Dan, when was the recall issued? Also was it just for the US?

I don't know if an actual recall was issued. I just know I cannot get my hands on a PW11 from an authorized Victor Dealer and that was the reason they gave me.

Oh, that's odd, just this week I purchased one from an authorized dealer here in Canada, everything about the racket seems to be very good, with attention to the cap/handle, it is ok as well. Maybe the problem has been resolved.

I'm not sure about Canada. My information was for the U.S. Maybe the people buying the PW11 in the GWN don't hit hard enough to warrant a recall. ... Of course I'm kidding, I wish the PW11 was still "available" here (in the U.S.).

lol Dan, u should reword it, not everyone can hit as hard as you to get a recall on racket. All jokes aside, did u find any problems with your own pw11?

Nope, I did not officially own one. I purchased nine or ten PW12s and was waiting for the PW11s. I had one PW11 on loan but gave it back because I thought my PW11 order would arrive.

wow! so many PW12s. How did the two PW rackets compare? I know it's probably a while ago. But other than stiffness (I bent the shaft of the two, 11 is a lot stiffer than 12), what other differences are there, most notably the balance.

I have found "flexing the shaft" technique doesn't work too well in many instances. You really have to play the racket to truly be able to tell the difference.

I didn't think the PW11 was a lot stiffer than the PW12. The 11 was definitely stiffer just not by leaps and bounds. The balance didn't feel much different either. I can't give you any more info because I just didn't play with the 11 enough to form an accurate review.

In the next racket update, I'll have the old Ti10 review up, as well as some new rackets.

I didn't buy any new Ti10s because some experts told me it was too flexy for my tastes.
