    Yonex Armortec 900 Review
    Specs: 3U, G3
    BG 80 @ 23lbs
    Yonex SuperGrap - Wine Red
    Technology: Nanoscale Technology, Elastic-Ti GumMetal , Power
    Armor System, Support Control System

    1st Impression: Paintjob on the AT900-T is superb making anyone nervous to even play against it. Though head-heavy it works like a combination of NS 7000 and Armortec 800 Def.

    Warm Up: During my first few minutes of playing, I knew it wasn't a clumsy racquet. The swing is definately faster than other racquets mostly due to its aerodynamic frame shape. I was able to pull off some amazing smashes but the net play was still needed to get used to since I keep hitting the frame.

    Game Play:
    I have to say this racquet can swing really fast. Picking up smashes was no problem with the lightning fast response and control. Once I got used to the racquet, the netplay was very precise and went at the velocity I needed it to be - fast. Maneuverability of the racquet was superb allowing me to pull off cross court drops. As for clears, the AT900 gave me a very solid feel along with immense power. As you may have heard from other people, you need an extra kick to boost your smashes, but in my experience they were fantastic but the only factor I experienced was the timing. I swung a bit too fast and missed some perfect sets but I guess all racquets need to get used to.

    Conclusion:
    The Armortec 900 Technique provides ALMOST everything you need for a comfortable yet, destructive racquet. Very little power is lost but a thin string such as BG 80, 85,etc. will compensate. Placement of the Gum Metal or Elastic-Ti over the top part of the frame makes you more sensitive to feel when your shuttle touches the racket. Defending and placement of shuttle win games as well and that is what this racket is made for. Like in the name, its all about technique and not power but its your choice. Another great thing about this racquet is that its very forgiving - I can still pull of smashes , if not drops haha.

    Here are some of my ratings towards this racquet:

    Feel = 8.5/10
    Control = 9.5/10
    Power = 9/10
    Defense = 10/10
    Swing Weight = 9/10

    Smashes = 9/10
    Drops = 9.5/10
    Clears = 8.5/10
    Drives = 9.5/10

    Good Luck whether you are deciding to buy this racquet because IMHO I LOVE IT. Cheers
