Post/Thread Validation
I noticed that when posting on your own thread, the post must be validated before it appears. I have some questions/suggestions regarding this feature.
[I understand my questions are only about post validation but I decided to call it "Post/Thread" to consolidate postings since the answer will most likely be the same.]
QUESTIONS
1. What are you looking for when validating a post (other than the usual spam, inappropriate language and off-topic)?
2. Do you ever edit posts to make them appropriate (ie cropping)?
3. How long does it normally take for a post to be validated?
4. Is post validation implemented for all members or will it be lifted after an x amount of posts?
5. Assuming post validation is to prevent unnecessary bumping of threads, is post validation bypassed after a certain amount of time?
6. Slightly off-topic, but how would editing a post waiting to be validated work?
SUGGESTIONS
1. Bypass validation if posting contains a quote from another member (may become open for abuse but if not previously tested, why not experiment?)
2. If answer to Q4 and/or Q5 is 'No', might be a good idea to implement.
3. PM user that their posting has been revoked.
COMMENTS
I'm not too sure about others but I often spend a long time (15+ minutes) consolidating, editing and clarifying my posts (esp ones in my own threads). I can see myself getting frustrated in the long run if time-critical posts take too long to show up and/or waiting for a posting that I spent a lot of time on to show up only to realize a week later that it has been revoked.

What's the point of having Forum Feedback Section when the administrators will NEVER reply or take ages to reply?

I believe post validating only occurs when you are a new(er) member. Once you become a regular member, it's no longer necessary.
I recall this when I was new to the site.

yes. it is only active when you have less than 5 posts.
the idea is that spammers are new registered members. there are no spammers with more than 5 posts because they would've been banned before they even get there.
