A Picture with Tan Chun Seang, bright star ahead

It was during the semi-finals of the Cheers Asian Satellite 2007 at the Singapore Badminton Hall last Friday evening.

TCS was coming up the stairs where I was seated to take some pics of the action on the courts. Like many other players, he wanted to warm up at the very top level of this half-a-century old, history-filled stadium. The good thing about this place is that players and fans can meet eye-to-eye and there is no barrier between them unlike many of the newer stadiums. But the multitude of florescent lights are no good for my pictures.

So I took the opportunity to take a pic with 'monkey' TCS (Yannie's way of decribing her 'very agile' Malaysian friend), who was then preparing to meet up with teammate, Arif Latif, for a place in the final. Of course TCS eventually won and also beat Chan Kwong Beng in the finals as well.

(PS: I tried to post this in the CAS thread but experienced some problems.)

TCS will be TCS he might mimic similar style but i am sure he will create his own style of play..

Give it a few more years and he will be better than LD and upcoming badminton King to do all Malaysian proud

TCS is indeed a promising player. Another player who i think will make an impact in the future will be Arif Latif.

Haha Jet Li... More players seem to resemble asian stars nowadays. The China pair; Fu hai feng (aaron kwok) as well as his partner Cai Yun (who surprisingly looks like Jacky Cheung in some angles).

ah, only saw him play once, but he's got a nice jumping smash ... hopefully he'll qualify for the later rounds of more major tournaments so we get to see him play more.

    Waah..

..Loh, what a fortunate chance for you to catch and take some pics with him...Btw, does TCS always make that big wide :D when taking pics??..Or did you make him smile like that??:p Did you also tell him that the pics will be for BC?? And that there are many fans of him in here??..:p:D;)
..eehhmm, i think it didn't allow you to put in the CAS thread, cos it wanted you to start a new thread, just for TCS:cool:...Btw, will this be the "official" TCS thread, yannie(i doubt there's a thread specifically for him, yet)??..;)

Yup, I thought about it too? TCS' official thread.. If so, maybe it should be renamed to Tan Chun Seang?
