I'm interested in two models, the Wave Gate 3 and the Wave Angle MC. Anyone have experience or opinions on these two shoes? Wave Gate 3 http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=25_28_34&products_id=378 Wave Angle MC http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=25_28_34&products_id=377
Sorry..i don't have any direct experience with those specific models. However wouldn't you get a better deal ordering your shoes from here: http://www.badmintonshoponline.us/unlimitshop/index.php?cPath=3_26 Furthermore, the selection is a lot better and you can try some of their higner end model shoes. I own the 63062 (Wave Smash S2 Fit) and the white version of the 54014 (Wave Smash S2 - wide feet). These prices are more competitive.
If you're looking for those two specific models, then badmintonshoponline is not such a good deal because of the prohibitively large shipping cost, whereas MY badminton store is free shipping. A friend of mine who used to be on the Japanese National Team tells me that Mizuno are the best badminton shoes, bar none, even better than Yonex. I don't know myself, I've never tried them, as I use SHB-99s. Just my 2 cents.
how much have anybody paid for these two shoes? the wave gate III and wave angle MC. this question are for those who have already own or was surveying the price of mizuno shoes. please give info on where you bought it and what currency was used. thank you in advance
also, anyone ordered from from these websites before? the prices are about the same as the yonex shoes sold in the US. unfortunately, mizuno badminton shoes are not sold in the US.
does the wave gate II and the wave gate III have the same tech? i know wave gate III have biolock. does the wave gate II have it too?
i went to shops in ipoh that does sell mizuno shoes. i found out that most of them carry the volleyball models. i cant find the wave angle MC , which is my current favourite. what i did find is the wave gate II priced at RM169.00 after discount was given. it is still more expensive than the prices that i have seen quoted before here in the forum. but maybe that is the currency exchange thingy that dictates the price here. but i want to be sure so i will check the shoes out in KL when i go for the WC2007. what bothers me though was that the shop owner told me that the wave gate II was made in 2006 or 2007. based on the research i did on the net, the first number is the year of the model. so is it possible that a 2005 model shoes being manufactured in 2006 or 2007? the reason the shop owner wont lower the price more is because he said the shoes are relatively new (2006 or 2007 production). could this be true?
this is the result of the research i did on the net. found out that there's three new models. i kinda like the look of it. 1. Mastercross Wave DX 2. Mastercross Wave XX 3. Wave Angle SS the rest of the models in the catalogue : 1. Wave Angle MC (the one i am aiming for ) 2. Wave Angle FC ( i am not sure of the name though. a bit of guessing going on here) 3. Wave Flora Women's shoes 4. Wave Gate III 5. Wave Smash II 6. Wave Smash RG 7. Wave Smash S2 FIT 8. Wave Smash SG I wonder if these will ever be sold in Malaysia. Phillippines should have it because i even found a dedicated mizuno site for the philippines. i quite like the new models. especially the last one. these shoes really look handsome.
I know that there is a Mizuno store in the super mall in manilla. My sister-in-law and brother purchased my first Wave Smash S2 for me there. I'm sure they carry a wide variety of models. I fell in love with that shoe soo much i ordered 2 more pairs (red S2 Fits) 1 for myself and the other for a friend from http://www.luxissportnet.com. I've had no problems ordering from them (ordered a lot of string from them in addition to the shoes) I'm kinda curious in trying the Wave Smash SG and RG models. They look nice.
You must be referring to SM Mall of Asia, which does carry a Mizuno store. The Mizuno badminton shoe lineup here isn't too big. I've seen the following being sold as of last week: Wave Angle R1 Wave Smash S2/S2 Fit (?) Wave Gate II and another not-so-new model I forgot The newer models such as the Wave Gate III I haven't found yet. Mizuno's futsal/football lineup is a lot more varied here. And yes, the Wave Gate II is emphatically a mid-cut shoe.
great pictures azabaz .... mizuno US doesn't carry badminton shoes .... we have to buy these overseas ..... i just don't want to buy online now after i saw the dateline nbc show on credit card fraud and identity theft .... i guess i got scared ..... do you guys know any reputable websites??
i was told bbe shop is a good online shop. it is china based if i am not mistaken. and last time i checked, it has a lot of mizuno shoes. how about you check that out shreky. maybe try hong kong online shop too. i dont know which one is reputable. i think you can find it in the online shop thread.
A quick update: Buyers in the Philippines can now buy the Wave Smash RG and SG for just about the same price as the older S2/S2-Fit (PhP4700). I found the RG and SG in Mizuno's store at Bonifacio High Street. The RG is mid-cut, the SG low-cut. ...and yes, they do look quite nice indeed
There are shops in the greenhills area in Manila which sells a variety of Mizuno shoes at reasonable prices.
