I am thinking of getting a new racquet for my hardwork during this school year.As I want to get a racquet that looks good, since for stiffness and heaviness I can get use as I get to play more(or changing tension). But I do want one that look good and is durable. And hopefully it comes with a matching carry case. 1. How often do you play, how serious are you? atleast once a week for two hours. 2. What style of player are you? (Aggressive smasher, net player ...) More of a balanced player, but that doesnt matter also 3. Do you care much about durability or is it all about performance? I care about Durablity and good looking 4. How much money do you want to spend? Hopefully around $150 USD(more is ok also) 5. What do you think is a good looking Racquet(Or Not)? I personally dont like the design and stye on the Sotx Woven Series I think I like uniform colour(instead of seperate colour sections) not too sure. I am currently thinking of the Gosen Root 4900(a rare colour scheme), but want more input on good looking racquets, I know that this is a subjective thing, but I do want more input on good looking racquets. Thank you for reading. And thanks for any suggestion in advance.
Ask your girl friend to hold any of your racquet and you should see the most beautiful racquet (model) for you.
Ya RSL 7 series looks good but what I think is kinda on the girly side except for the X2 Pro, and I did ask all my girl friends on which racquet look good to them, they all say Nano Speed 7700(they dont have much knowledge on other brands)
FZ Forza TI24 or TI28 if you're into a yellow racket and an orange racket... Kinda like the yellow and copper orange colored cars you see out in the streets...
Wilson racket but i forgot what series which is have a flower painting design on the shaft. Looks pretty sweet and beauties...
This one more attraction, don't forget to use pink color grip & string to be in uniform.. http://www.pointfore.co.uk/PINK 06.jpg
Have you tried looking at the Hi-Qua Platinum series? They use a shinny metal coating and they look good to me.
Kason's Racquets range are pretty good www.kason.com.cn they work closely with some of China's junior players I am with them at the moment in the UK. I am using the TSF100 but they have a large selection to choose from all taylored to individual needs. Its another on to think about but there are so many companies out there.
You can only get used to it, if that's within a reasonable range of your comfortable zone. Pushing to the extreme will result into bad performance, or even serious injuries. Be careful...
I think the emphasis on any sports equipment is is you are comfortable using it. as a junior went through so many rackets because they looked good or they were the top racket!!! At the end of the day yuo have to be able to use it. Younger player I coach are encouraged to use flexible rackets which help with the control until they are older. I agree with lazybuddy if its not comfortable and you try to hard you will be getting injured, I know from my own experience I was off the court for 2 months with shoulder problems due to rackets not being right.
I think the yonex armortec 900 tech looks really sweet. Thats probably one of the reasons am getting it, not just that it looks good but it feels amazing and is good for the style i play.
you don't like wovens? I must admit, some look rather...odd... but take the 5A for example, good bang for buck, shiny and stylish I think it's one of the best looking wovens... but then, I like the w7i just as much...an opinion not shared by everybody (right Dan?)
The design on the old Woven series is a bit odd, but the new one "i" and the CP series look MUCH better. Too bad I am outta $$ to get any toys. so wut I will do is sand down the paint on my racquet n repaint it with my left over model paint(Gun Metal colour)
