ack! tooo bad i was hoping to see taufik in the semis/finals when i go and watch it live...

i wasnt there when it happened so i guess he was playing an "attitude taufik style" just like in Japan Open last year where he lost to Lin Dan 21-3 =(

Nguyen Tien Minh is one of those who can upset the top players and I think it is not that surprising.
Remember he already did it at the asian games where he had a good time especially beating Lee Hyun Il

Tien Minh Nguyen won the game straight set. OMG! This is amazing. He's going to play against Chen Hong tomorrow in the Quarter finals. Can't wait to see the result.

From unconfirmed sources, TH got phone call about his pregnant wife and wanted to go home...my be thats explained as Fastdrop informed me that TH did not look good and had bad attitude in the court....so whatever reasons, we have to give Minh Nguyen a credit to beat TH.....

I was shock as well to see Taufik lost! Congrats to Tien Minh Nguyen.

Does Taufik not feel the urge to play and win anymore, since he's won basically every tournament there is now he's a family guy, he doesn't have the desire to win as much as before?

Nguyen Tien Minh is the best player in Viet nam, may be in that game, Tien Minh knew who is he and played no pressure and taufik might look down his competitor.
    go on Tien Minh!

you observe it right. TH does not have enough emotional challenge to win. the motivation is not as much. the 2008 olympics is what keeps him going now, then, he will call it quits.:(

Your unconfirm sources may not be the cause for Taufik's lost.
