    Hi guys!

Would like to know what model of strings will be the most ideal/ optimal for the armortec 900 power. It need not be yonex. The important thing is that it optimizes the use of the racket.

    Thanks.

Just try the Yonex Nonogy 98, it is very repulsive, though it cost a little more than the other strings.

I don't think the yonex nanogy 98 is not yet available here in the philippines, or is it? Has anyone tried the ashaway strings?

For high tension users, BG-65 is great!

    I've used Yonex until about a year ago. I've tried BG65, BG66, BG65Ti, BG68Ti, BG88Ti, BG70, BG80, BG85, N95. So most of the range.

Now I'm hooked on Ashaway strings. MicroLegend, MicroPower, PG65, PG66, MicroLegend 0.66 all play great. There's something I like about each of them but probably I'll stick to MicroLegend and MicroPower when I've had enough fun.

I suggest you try MicroLegend 0.66 from mybadmintonstore.com. It's probably one of the most repulsive strings I've used and the durability is pretty good for such a thin string. If it breaks too easily, then go up to MicroLegend, and then MicroPower. I like the feel, sound, and most of all repulsiveness of these strings over Yonex by a large margin.

    Pro 66!!

I am still unsure of BG-80 because of pre-mature breakages issues I experienced back in the day I used it.

With my own experience, BG80 lasts about twice as long as BG85, using same string tension. ;)

Could be in reality really short heheh!. As I recall back then, the final time I had with BG-80 was when it broke in within 2 days and the tension was 22. Too much fraying and nicking which I would call pre-mature damage.

Well try NBG 98.. It is good string but it is rather slippery.

BG 68 ti is not too bad too but i find it very not durable dont know why.

I have not tried the NGB98, however I definately like the NGB95 doing a test run with it on one my rackets a while back.

    BackAttack,

Use Ashaway MicroLegend. This is the best string on your AT 900P. I am using it a month ago.

Hmmm i find NBG 95 with lots of control and not much of power.Don't really like the 95. I am still sticking with my BG 80.So far it has not given me any problems.

I've decided to try out the Nanogy 95 (partly because i couldn't find an ashaway in the 2 stores I went to). It's pretty good. Great sound, amazing power. But I've noticed that there's an adjusting period everytime I use. It's like the strings are so taut that it's too tense to get a good response from them. However, it after a few swings, the string begins to loosen and that's when the fun part begins.

I am a strong smasher but the power I generate with the racket-string combo is fantastic. But is this a common occurrence for the Nanogy 95?

Personally, I think N95 is quite stiff when compare to BG80/85. Therefore, yeah, you need a bit extra power to use it. I am currently doing a test with hybrid N95 and BG80. I can feel the string bed to be stiffer, but if you hit it right, the power indeed is amazing. ;)

I find with both NBG 95 and 98 that there is a break-in period, freshly strung, both will be very stiff and plays like crap! But once after the break-in period, the strings will be a lot better. Personally, I don't really like the NBG 95, it's not that repulsive, so my choice would be NBG 98 or BG 80 or 85

Our lads went through a brief affair with Nanogy, but I stayed clear and went for BG80. I found Nanogy 95 too thick and too greasy, and it was not as "communicative" as the harder Yonex strings. A thin string will really accentuate the power of a head-heavy racket such as this, even up above 25lb.

Unfortunately, BG80 goes VERY easily, as others have mentioned (especially if you scoop with it using an Armortec with its unprotected rim:eek:), and the coating is prone to cracking and fraying, so I'm now going to switch to Ashaway MP - if I can find it in PLAIN WHITE:mad:.

If you can't find the Ashaway MP in plain white anywhere else, you may PM me for it.

    Cheers. :)
