A little introduction, I played in high school, graduated in '96. Have since picked up golf and have been doing that for about 3 years. First love has always been badminton but there was just nowhere to play. Learned about APAC in Union City which is only 5 mins from my house and went there for the first time on Tuesday. I am so sore. :crying: Will be getting my pass there for $50/10x. It's been so long, I have no idea what rackets I have. I see it's a popular thing to tell others. I know they're Yonex and I think one is a Muscle Power something and I've got a Aerotus something too, lol. Maybe I should be asking this is another area but is Asby's still a good place to get restringing done? Back in high school, everyone and their moms was stringing at 18-20lbs. I wouldn't consider myself godlike in my abilities but I'm no slouch either. For you veterans out there, how should I determine what to get my rackets strung at? It's been a long ass time and I'm fairly sure my strings are shot from 10 years ago. Thanks! Sunny
welcome to the BC forum. a lot of your questions that may can find out the answers in the forums. do read those questions posted before. enjoy BC....
Hi orgasmerator/Sunny ... as a sticky says "21 lbs" or something like that, and go up from there. Welcome to BadmintonCentral -dave
welcome to BC. 21lbs to 23lbs is a good place to start. doesn't APAC have a shop? they should be able to string your racket for you and it will be conveniently located close to your home.
You know what, when I walked in there, I was expecting to see stringing machines and such but I should've asked. I would feel more comfortable getting it done at Asby's or something unless my research leads me to believe they in fact have the equipment to string and they are good. Very helpful forum with informative posts and nice people, btw.
Thanks for the warm and fuzzy welcome, guys. I've been reading my ass off since I found this place. Have to get up in 5 hours for work but I'm still reading... Oh, I'm still sore. :crying:
hehehehehe, easy does it. you dont want to go at it too fast too soon lest you burn out. or temporarily lose your eyesight for staring at the computer too long. it wont go anywhere. take your time.
Once.. ..you start reading BCBF, you're hooked, perhaps, for a long time... Welcome on board this big badminton family, orgasmerator!..
