Hi guys. I just bought a new eagnas722E. What do you guys think about this machine? Is there anything that i should change? Regards, Bertbrainz
Thanks ants. I am sorry that my room is kind of messy. The rackets that i string at 24lbs seems to be only around 20lbs. Is it because of the tennis clamps? Sorry if i am asking some really stupid questions. This is my first time stringing a racket.
Send the machine to me and I will gladly test the machine specifications Looks nice! How much did you get it for and from where?
well, have you adjusted your clamps? calibrated your machine? roam some tennis-stringing forums, they're very informative (talk-tennis especially)
I have adjusted the clamps, but not yet calibrated. I heard just get normal fishing scale to calibrate the machine is alright right?
I think there are 2 major issues: 1. Machine calibration. Yeah, the fish scale trick should work. 2. You need badminton clamps. The tennis clamps might not hold the string tight enough, especially the badminton string is much thinner than the tennis ones. Consider replace with 2 fixed badminton clamps. In addition, you need at least another 2 flying clamps to speed up the process, especially for crosses.
Local badminton pro shops or gym pro shops might have. I think HQ and Yonex clamps are acceptable to most of the stringers here.
Local proshop in Singapore do not seem to have. I will try looking around for it. Anyone has any to sell? Thanks alot lazybuddy.
Hi Bertbrainz, since you got Eagna machine, just go get their clam PN-1013. Calibrate the machine first.
I can finally claim that i can string rackets! finally 25lbs feels like 25lbs. I asked my coach and he commented that its rather standard. I would be glad to help any bc member to string rackets(Singapore only). Just send me a pm.=). We can meet up
can you write an evaluation review of your machine? anything to say about 6 mounting points including head and throat, string tensioner, and ease of use? looks great, im glad youre having fun
I am actually new to stringing. Sorry if i say anything stupid here. The six point mounting system is not bad. but maybe i need a need to futher tighten the head, because sometimes it cannot really grip the racket. The string tensioner is great. Its rather accurate and it rather easy to use. I just learnt it from dinkalot's stringing video and some advice from a friend. Almost gave up in the beginning when i cant get the tension, but its really satisfying when i really get it. =)Its now my best possession.
