Ranking for Men's & Women's Team This ranking is based on the Ranking points of the 3 (or 2) highest ranked players (or pairs) of each Association, ranked on the current individual World Ranking lists. Even if an Association has only two or one player (or pair) ranked on the individual World Ranking list, the team of that Association is still ranked. Players non eligible to represent their Association are not taken into consideration. To set up the team ranking list, each team is opposed to all the other teams in a computer simulation (round-robin), in 3 singles matches and 2 doubles matches using the Thomas and Uber Cups system. In each team the players (pairs) are placed in ranking order. 2 points are awarded to the winning team of each of these matches, the losing team getting 0 points. When there is a tie, which may happen when players of opposing teams have the same Ranking, each of these teams receives 1 point. The final ranking order is determined by the total number of points earned by each of the teams. A virtual match won would give the team 2 points, a tie would give 1 point and a loss does not earn the team any points. The total number of points gained by a team determines their Team Ranking. These team ranking lists are taken into consideration for seedings at World Men's and Women's Team Championships.

INA Women shall improve! In fact, INA has 2 good WD now: Lili-Vita and Greysia-Jo! They will become even better by Uber Cup 2008 in Jakarta. INA should be quite highly ranked by then. We could be the 4th seed by then! I think INA deserve to be higher ranked than MAS if our 2 WD perform up to their potential... Our WS... well, that's another story... I can only support with all my heart, but I know realistically where we stand. But hey... go Maria, go Firda, go Pia and Febe... Sorry Nana, your time is over...
You're right. According to the WS rankings you're right. He he he... Then to defeat MAS according to the ranking: Maria Kristin has to be higher ranked than WMC or... Firda has to be a higher ranked 2nd singles for INA or... Pia/Febe should also be higher ranked 3rd singles... Waah, around 12 years ago I don't have to try hard to convince people that INA women can beat MAS women... Ha ha ha... That was the time we had Susi, Mia, Yuliani, Yuni, Elisa-Zelin, Lili-Finarsih... Aiyaa, time flies so fast...
