any idea on how to perform a jump smash shot in a proper way??? the body coordination is the most difficult part of the shot for me!!! any help or recommendation?? im waiting for it
practice makes perfect... hence, nobody is perfect, why need to practice...? ok, jokes aside.... do not jump backwarding... jump and make contact to the shuttle infront of head... keep on practicing
+1 on the timing. It helps if you perfect the non-aerial smash first before adding any jumping into the mix. Use your non-dominant hand to take aim at the shuttle. When you've got good aim, let loose and smash. The jumping can come later.
Remember that you have to first master the form of the standing smash before trying to jump. And like most people have said, timing is very important. Also, read this thread. It's about how to jumpsmash as hard as a standing smash.
Rasmussen shows jump smash Rasmussen explains and demos it pretty well at... http://www.badmintonsite.com/ Click on video clips then 'instructional' It is also explained step-by-step (with pics) in our book "Advanced Badminton Techniques" at http://instructoons.com/book/
Practice practice practice. Some people are born with the talent to do so, while others need to train a little more and play more productively
