I recently got an AT900T, and there's a stencil of the Yonex logo on the string. The thing is, whenever I smash the bird, the ink seems to come off and stain the sides of the racket and the bird. (I can just wipe the ink off the racket, so no cosmetic damage) Is there a way to remove the stencil without damaging or cutting the string? Thanks in advance!
Yes, that happens with stencils. You will never manage to remove all of the stencil marks especially on the white strings. Just remember to tell your stringer not to put it on next time.
I don't think there's an effective way to remove the ink. Putting other chemicals on the string to replace the ink is a no-no.
i dun get why someone reported my post as being inconstructive. u really can put white stencil ink over. they do not stain the birdie (which is already white) and the white ink doesn't really stain the racket. i've used red, blue, back and white inks before. there's no way to wipe it off unless u use a paint thinner or thru super extensive washing, in which ur strings must be dipped in water and some srubbing occurs which ends up damaging the string. white ink stencil does not stain much at all. so please do not report my comment as being inconstructive... O_O when i say report, i meant that karma thingie.
Like I mentioned in the Karma thread, there are members don't understand how to apply Karma in a proper way. Don't take it too much personaly, as there's could be mis-understanding all the time. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with your post of white ink. At most, it's a nice joke, which certainly doing no harm.
So how come the ink on the Pros' rackets doesn't come off? Are there different ways to apply ink or do the pros' rackets don't have ink and actually just come in that color/pattern? :O
Yes, the ink does come off. It just the shuttle do not last that long to become that visible during a match. The pro usually go through at least 1 tube of shuttles during a match.
Ask any of the Authorized Yonex Dealer. They can sell you a set or order one for you if you really want it that bad.
Just call and ask the price. Dealers sell the same item at different prices. I don't live in your area so I don't know. Here is just a reference. http://www.badminton.net/cart/produ...d=306&osCsid=d647e48b87f2c096b3665ab8396ea81f My price is different than your price.
You can download the stencil card at yonex uk: http://www.yonex.co.uk/Badminton/Product.aspx?ProdID=145
Just enjoy it for the mean time..n when ur string is broke, then cut them off n clean/wipe the frame. That's should be an easy job, since most stencils chemical wont stick to the frame permanently..
Any white board marker would do the trick..choose a permanent one if u want it to last a bit longer..
hey man... I say spam yonex directly.. I mean for every stencil they sell, they basically get free promotion.. they shouldn't be charging you anything
actually some of it depends on how heavily your stringer applies the ink. the guy i know does it upon request, but puts on a thin enough coat so that its just visible, and it barely comes off. perhaps you can ask your guy to try that in the future.
