Badminton: Seminar on eve of World Championships PETALING JAYA: For the first time, a badminton sports seminar for players and coaches will be held on the eve of the World Championships to create awareness - especially on doping matters. Through the seminar on Sunday, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) hoped that the players, coaches, officials and administrators would get the updates in the world of sports medicine related to the badminton. There will be topics on badminton related injuries such as wrist injuries and Achilles tendon. The BWF medical commission chairman Dr Gurucharan Singh will also present a paper on the Sports Supplements and Doping. The commissions' member Dr Ashwin Patel will speak on "Doping: TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption) and players whereabouts’ and consequences." The seminar is organised by the BWF with the cooperation of the Sports Medicine Society of the Malaysian Medical Association. it is a good seminar especially for players and coaches...
2 questions: 1) Would the players be able to sit still? If they are forced to sit still, they'll probably snooze. 2) If it's going to be conducted in English, how many would understand when it gets into details? But I suppose it needs to be done so BWF can say, " We've told you' .
