    Hi,

am planning to buy a new racket and am not sure which one to go for

    1) Carlton Airblade Elite
    2) Yonex MP30
    3) Yonex NC Tuff 9

I am using Yonex Isometric 65 and need for an upgrade. Kindly advice.

    It depends on your skill..

If you are beginner I would say go for the Airblade.. It's head-heavy, classic-oval head-shape..Easy to generate great power!

If you are a very good player, the NC Tuff 9 (Taiwan made Nano-racket) would be the best overall racket out of the 3...

Thanks two beer... How about the muscle power series?? I think Mp30 and Mp44 are on my budget... I rank myself as intermediate... so what do you recommend??

They are good.. but I would say there are two main reasons to not buy them..

    a) The Muscle Power series is being faced out by Yonex.
    b) The Yonex "mid-range" are genereally overpriced. Compared to similar priced alternatives from like Carlton, SOTX, Kason, Victor, Wilson, Babolat, Mizuno etc.. (you often get top models from other makers at the same price as Yonex midrange)..

    cheers,

But its hard to get carlton and wilson rackets here in Melbourne. The store close to my house sells airblade and powerblade series. They will be getting fireblade by the end of next month. Am not sure about the cost of fire blade series. Which is the best buy racket from carlton?

The Fireblade ISOs are nice. The old Powerblade are also ok (there are many different models in each of these series) There is also a New mid/low-range AeroBlade series.

If there are limited selection in stores close to where you live, you could always resort to ordering rackets on internet-shops.. Search this forum for many reputable stores that would ship the rackets home to you!!

    Cheers,
    Twobeer

Two beer, I have changed my mind. Now I got two options to pick
    1) Yonex AT300
    2) Yontex 8600Ti

Kindly suggest me which one to go for. Am getting good deals for both of them.

OMG  this is getting wierd.. Now you considering two completely differnt ones??? Yonex 8600ti i think is a heavy beast (2U 94g), with CAB head.. The list price is about half of the AT300..

The AT300 is a superior design imop..

May I ask what a good deal is??

The normal price in other stores is around AU$180 and more......Xing sports is selling for $180. But this one is the cheapest I can get. Moreover when you convert the US$ to AU$ it comes to around $155 without shipment. I am not sure about the customs and stuffs. Anyway, its better to buy locally rather than overseas... what do you reckon???

But 8600 is sure a good deal......I am not sure why the price here for sports goods is very expensive....

true...But it is still not dirt cheap :).. And As I said earlier from those $155 I would estimate you pay at least $55 for the "name" Yonex on it..

I would rather buy NC Tuff 9 than the AT300, if it has to be Yonex in that pricerange, it's definitivel more bang for the buck :)

Looking at calibreaustralia.com i see they have their own branded OEM, and also Trump.
I would guess th Calibre NANO TECH 007 costs less than the AT300 (it seems to be a clone of NS7000), and is probably a better overall deal..

Two beers, I have ordered the AT 300. I will be getting next week. Yes, I totally agree with you but am not sure about the durability of the other rackets. I dont want them to be break soon. Moreover, I read in some post here that NC Tuf 9 is not durable. Anywa, thanks a lot for your help.
