need to know maximum tension for my racket
Hi I am new to the badminton forum, but have a question. The question is that I have a carbonex 8600 ti and i do not know what is the maximum tension. Right now it has the stock string, but I want to change the tension. Can someone help me out.

The more tension you put on, the more risk you will face. If the racket condition is decent, I say 23lb is a safe choice.

thx for the info, but i kinda want to know how much carbonex 8600 ti can handle. I want to test it out for myself the highest tension possible to see what will happen for this racket, enough that it wont bend the frame if I get it strung to high.

wow that freaken high lol will the carbonex 8600 ti be able to handle such a high tension? Oh ya, what can most rackets handle anyways in tension? does it depends on what it is made of or the type of head shape?

Yonex always set their "recommended" tensions very low as a way of keeping people from voiding their warranties. Most of the pros go VERY high with the isometric shapes (>28lb) and almost never break the frame of the racket itself.
Dink plays with Carbonexes regularly, so I'd take his word for it

In theory, maybe.
However, for such a high tension job, you need to make sure the racket is in very good shape, and the stringer knows what s/he is doing. I understand this is an experiement, but I still don't see the point of this test, as it's not only put the racket in risk, but also the player's own arm.
