So I've been missing from Badminton Central for a long time, this is my first post in ages. As most of you would guess by now I've stopped badminton for the time being... instead focussing on other games like magic the gathering and to a lesser extent poker now. So last saturday I played in a magic the gathering pro tour qualifier event in Perth and after swimming thru the swiss rounds and battling thru the single elimination top8 from quaters to finals, for about 9 hours total.. I emerged victorious out of 34 others and secured a return airticket and invitation to Valencia, Spain to compete at the next Magic the Gathering Pro-Tour to be held in October, where I'll be competing for my share of prizes with a total prize pool of $240,000 USD. First prize pays $40,000 USD. So to those who want to know what I have been up to, I'm going to spain around the 8th of October to play in the pro tour event before hopefully detouring to England to visit my aunt for a day or 2 and fly to Brisbane to compete in a magic the gathering Grand Prix event before coming back to Perth. That is all. Wish me luck. I know I'm gonna need it. Peace.
Good Luck to FEND. with his MAGIC Hey FEND., Yes I was wondering where/what you have been up to. I could see you walking into the hall below and then disappearing/vanishing into thin air. And that's Magic !!! Good Luck to you, mate. First prize of $40,000 USD is fantastic. Win it and buy some badminton rackets for me from the UK. Cheers... chris@ccc
mtg instead of badminton?? that's just crazy talk .... but then again, the prize money is double what lin dan makes for winning the all-england, and the training isn't as brutal so why not? all the best!
It's funny because it'd take all year for Lin Dan to generate that revenue from tournament wins haha. GOOD LUCK!!! BTW, what kind of deck do you use?!
mini black-white with black lotuses and icy manipulators? oh, and a few moxes wouldn't go astray ....
Thanks for the support guys. Hopefully this trip will be worth it. Will have to hurry up and work extra hard in uni to finish all my assignments off etc etc before I leave in October and stuff. @ Wilfred : That's the aim!! @ Gunblade : Pmed you on that one.
