For beating Mohd. Hafiz Hashim along the way, as well as Taufik Hidayat.

He faces Lin Dan next, will he make it?

Yup he sure has become a hero. The papers were all about him today about his victory over Taufik and tommorrow will be even better after the Hafiz demolish.
I think Anup has got a chance over LD in the sense that he is the underdog and there should be absolutely no pressure to beat LD.No one's gonna complain if he beats a string of players and loses to a world no.1
If he plays freely i think he will drive LD close

    yes, congrats,Anup, keep going!
Very impressed. He's probably the first player to continue to win after defeating TH. Very hardy specimen.
LD won't have it easy .Depends on 3 factors:
    1) How much has Anup left in the tank? He's young and he's not TH of the ultra limited cc, so should be ok.
    2) How much the MAS crowd support him. Probably all the way since LCW's lost.
    3) LD's never played him or if he had, Anup's game 's probably changed now. That would keep LD guessing and that's very hard on LD's limited mental stamina.
Point is , Anup's going to think,' if I can beat TH, I can beat anyone.' He will have no fear or respect for LD.

before the WC started.. everyone predicted a LCW vs Taufik or vs LD finals..
Now the "trend" seems to be changed
Many are looking for a ANup in the final .Doesnt matter who will be his opponents

Well,I would like to congratulate Anup..However judging from his game against Hafiz I think unless he can speed up his movement at least another 20%-30% or it will be very hard to create an upset against LD...Go Anup!

May be he's another Gopichand(AE winner) surprising everyone and win the WC title. The true test is against Lin Dan, Mr. consistency!

Well it is good as Anup can spark more badminton players from India and the game would be more all rounded rather than being capitalized by one nation.

I am sorry to say this, but it getting boring that china wins almost all the time..The upset in the matches are quite interesting...

well even tho anup is tall, so is bao chunlai (1.9m right?). And LD seems to regularly beat BCL. I basically agree with PJSwift except that I'm not so sure LD has limited mental stamina....I think it depends on the day and on the tournmant.

Are we seeing another giant run by Anup??? May be... why not? Impossible is NOTHING...

In CM07, we roared WACHA-MANIA; now we hailed ANUP-MANIA.

Proud of U, Anup, regardless of the outcome of tmr match vs LD. good luck

I really wish for Anup to win tomorrow,
it would inspire the rest of the players that an underdog could still beat number one player. Upsets happen all the time.
If Anup could control his games and just play like he did in the two previous matches, I believe he has a chance to beat LD.
However, the reality is LD has more experience and Anup might be exhausted already mentally and physically.
My prediction is that LD will win in 3 games.

good, LD loves a 3 setter match. LD lost to TH in 06 asian games because he miss timed his plan of a 3 game match. When was the last time LD lost a 3 game match??? very rare...........

Anup in an interview on indian television said - the pressure is on Lin Dan , he has more to lose than me. i need to play consistent and will do my best.

signs of a calm, confident and up for the challenge individual.
