Do you guys like to stencil your racquets with logos such as YY Yonex or do you guys perfer to have nothing on your strings. Give me your opinions
I stencil a racquet when my friend request it or some company asked to do so. I feel it is a waste of time. I keep all my personal racquets clean.
do you ever mess up the stenciling for your friend lol, like make it uneven i did that to my racquet once.
I would like to put stencil (my own) on the ones I did. The main reason is to distiguish from other ppl's work. Therefore, I don't got blamed for others' fault.
I prefer to have nothing. Looks better, the bottom of the bird doesn't turn red, and it extends string life.
On some rackets it looks good, on others it doesn't... At the shop we provide Yonex, Victor, Kason, or Karakal stencil if the customer prefers, free of charge. Otherwise we generally don't unless its a new racket purchased from the shop, and they bought it together with string.
nice, do you guys stencil both sides of the racquet or just once side? Because whenever i stencil the racquet it does show fully on the oposite side :0
Most of the time yes. I either use the paint tube or a toothbrush to paint it on, and usually it soaks to the other side, but not completely, so we flip it over, and if its enough, we just patch up the paint spots, or we flip the stencil and paint the other side completely.
I also like putting stencil on my racquet. Regarding the shuttle having ink on it, its ok since the shuttle gets wasted after every game.
Hmm...according to my experience....stenciling sure looks cool u know...but there's a disadvantage, ur string tension will drop in few weeks time...and easily breaks too...
wasteful maybe, messy no, you're not slathering anything on, and for wall graffiti stencils you use spray paint. You just need a design, kinda like the ones used with the stencil ink, except there are more colors.
This isn't a wall we're talking about...its a grid of string...with holes. It's bound to be messier than direct painting, and there's a chance of getting paint on the racket frame too.
