just wondering, which is more powerful?? Ti-10 or AT700?? which is better for smashing? they r both head heavy racquets after all..
what the is difference between the new ti-10 and the old ti-10 apart from the color. ive seen a pic of KKK/TBH using the new ti-10.
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35934&highlight=Ti10 the link above will tell you the difference between the versions.
It's been discontinued for quite some time now, however, some can still be found in HK. But expect to pay a high price due to it being a rare item.
To me, this is a no brainer...the 2U Old Ti-10 is hands down the most powerful racket ever made by Yonex, and to me, quite possible the most powerful racket in existence. Even more powerful than the SOTX Woven 11, the moment I hit the shuttle, it was just, the loudest bang I've ever heard from such a small motion. No racket, not the ISO900 SP SX, MP100, not the AT700 or 800 OF or even the recently tested AT 900 P can even compare IMO. Nothing feels as solid with raw power and facial stability. Even though I have one in my bag, I honestly can't use it to its full potential. It's way too slow of a racket for me, even though I think it is a much better control and defense racket than most purely offensive rackets. It really puts the new Ti-10 to shame...its almost a joke racket.
oh i c thx. it is rather hard to find the old ti-10 though. yes, i do agree that the new one is not as good, but kinda strange how Fu Haifeng, Tan Boon Heong & Koo Kien Kiat uses the new one. they probably find it light & user friendly i guess rather than just power. ==
Haha this is just a speculation, because I know this happens in Tennis....but... I have a tugging notion that Fu, Koo and Tan all use the old Ti-10s, but repainted as the new one due to marketing, and because the old Ti-10 is just so dang good a racket...
AT-700 is just too stiff... AT-900 power or tech is also way better...ti-10 is good...for a budget la...
at900 power & yechnique is more stiff than the at700. at700 is more flexible & is easier to generate power but is more head heavy. as shown here: although the yonex said that power & technique is stiff while at700 is extra stiff. Many ppl do not agree with this, so im pretty sure 900 is alot stiff. =]] hey, AT500's not too bad either. mmm.. i might consider the mp99, pretty nice all around racquet & nice for smash but pretty stiff. D=
i thought about getting the power. but it's just too stiff for me to use. D= i am thinking of the mp99 right now..
Mp99 is dam good !!! But very cheap already right??? Feel like getting one of those also no problem !!!
Mp99 is a good choice. Not the hardest racquet to use, despite the fact that it's extra stiff, and it packs a very good punch as well. In my opinion it's one of the best racquets made. Kind of a benchmark.
Oh...yeah agree... how much is it now??? Feel like armotec sounded better than MP series now... Nano is not that bad either...
If you are talking about the old Ti-10 2U (pre-Nov 2004) compared to an old color AT700 3U, the AT700 is harder to swing, at least, it was for me. Which one gave me more power? The AT700 and Ti-10 were comparable in terms of power, but only when I was fresh. When tired, the Ti-10 was actually easier for me to use. I found the Ti-10 to be slightly head-heavy while the AT700 was VERY head-heavy. Although the Ti-10 was heavier overall, it's balance and superior aerodynamics made it a faster racket than the AT700. As far smashing goes, if you are more of a "wrist" player, go with the AT700. If you are more of an "arm" player, I would go with the Ti-10. Of course, your own style and technique may yield you different results... Cheers.
i will get mp99 3u g4 with BG80 once the frame of my ns9k X breaks but that's gonna take a big clash since the frame durability of ns9k X is pretty strong. D= got lots of paint chips but waiting for a crack but ill just hav to wait. =]]
