Thanks for being encouraging and thinking of them.
Yes, losing brings them a step closer to winning when they learn from losing.

Msian government should give them lands. And the King should give KKK/TBH 'datuk' title.

We still got the Olympic gold next year. Playing at home in Msia for the WC susah la. Weather panas, pressure from fans and Yap Kim Hock, traffic jam to stadium pulak, makan sambal belacan everday, too many teh tarik sessions, etc etc.

When LCW put the blame on Kim hock,i really think theres something wrong with mas team. And its gonna be worse.and it happen.

dont know what is wrong with mas team .A really smooth beggining but a dissapointing ending .what a ironic journey for our team..

    WS:
WMC was the most outstanding ones among the MAS players by defeating XXF & reached QF considering the tough draw.
Lydia & Julia have tried their best.

    MS:
LCW was the most disappointing ones among the MAS players.
Hafiz might need to change his playing style to be more aggressive.
Great fight for LTS against BCL.
Roslin just waits for his retirement.

    MD:
KKK/TBH & CTF/LWW were supposed to have won the their QF & SF respectively. They have the ability & skills but just can't capitalise during the crucial moments. TBH choked during the crucial moment as well.
TBS/OSH & Zakry/Fairuz are just not at the top level yet.

    WD:
WPT/CEH still have the mental block against the great wall of CHN. I hope they are not complacent with their QF achevement.

    XD:
Debutants TWK/WKW just lost to a much stronger pair.

    The rest were just okay.

Agreed with your assessment, it is so disappointing with the outcomes especially it was played in our own country. Other than that, WC2007 is still a great success consider how much excitement it generated from Day 1 to Final. Two thumbs up to the organizer!!!

    My opinion:
ms: Tsuen Seng didn't do THAT badly. Chong Wei was horrible. Instead of blaming YKH for his defeat he could have said "My opponent was good" or something like that. As a top player, there has to be pressure. Malaysians are especially not good at facing them. Hafiz needs to improve too.
ws: Mew Choo did very well. Julia could have won her match but she blew it. But it was Julia and Lydia's debut so all is forgiven.
md: KKK-TBH were plain failures. They were expected to win but I don't know how they lost. This is KKK's third appearance there is hardly any excuse for flopping. Not to mention in his debut with Chan CHong Ming in 2005, he managed to get a bronze. Is it because of TBH??? Fairuz and Zakry lost in the 2nd round to Chinese. Fairuz has lost all his matches to that pair partnering LWF. No surprise. TBS-OSH surprises me. I don't know how they could have lost it......Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah is the only pair that has done well in this WC. They beat FHF-CY but the Indons were too good for them. Though they are the oldest in the Malaysian md camp, they managed to get a medal against all odds while young ones like KKK-TBH falter.
wd: Eei Hui and Pei Tty at least manged to live up to their billing which is quite good, but they need to find a way to break the Great Wall. The others did ok.
xd: It was WKW-TWK's debut and they lost to higher ranked opponents so it's not that bad, the rest like CPS-HCH did quite well too.

i don't know what to say. well yes... to much pressure i think. imagine 8000 fans in the stadium and don't know how many more at home. that does not include the coaches....

Olympic games will not be easy. No home ground advantage. More pressure even. LYB's China will even be more determine as hosts. And the pollution in Beijing is rather bad.

    Over-aggressive bashing is not necessary.

However, Malaysian fans tend to make a bunch of excuses for their players and also another set of excuses to make themselves feel better... instead of accept some creative feed back or criticism and make more proper adjustment.

Blindly saying "They will do better next time, since they are so young"... will not help the matter. Even though, it may be the truth that there is next time, and the players are still young, but you have to keep in mind that things like that are the same for other countries' athletes as well. Do you hear any of them uses that as an excuse???
