A backhand overhead cross-court drop I think sensibly is the most demanding shot ever.

Not all shots are listed in here; would be nice to see a vote on all the shorts including backhand clear; backhand smash, backhand cross-court, etc...

Has anyone talked about smashing-slicing drop ? It hits like a smash - in straight forward swing, but the contact is on the side, the feathers, and hence the birdie travels "off course" across the court and drop in slightly further than a true drop.

Did you try the in between the legs? lol.
See 8:20 and 10:35 for the killer between the legs shot. lol.

It's a sliced drop - appears to be a smash, but instead of smashing it straight, you turn the face of the racket and slice the shuttle hard. It's still a fast drop, but should go crosscourt near the sideline.
You'll also need to go over the shuttle to get it to go down quickly (it's not a stop drop), so it's more like 2 o'clock for a right-hander.
I'll see if I have some footage of it - but I doubt it^^

Overhead straight slice, for me, is a hard shot to hit consistently, and I can pretty much hit anything.

00:39 and 07:21 should give you a general idea of the shot. Please don't watch the 2nd game

Same shot I thought you were talking about
it's strange I got good at that shot simply by accident...
What happened was, is that if I was not in control of the rally or was trying to anticipate slightly by standing up the court then if my opponent played any type of attacking clear to the RTH side then I would be struggling, but somehow I always seem to manage to swing my racket round and really cut across the shuttle and send it the other way.
it's a great shot to be able to do cause it can get you back into so many rallies and in fact it can prove to be a winning shot or at least set you up for a kill especially if your opponent played a clear from deep in their court.
Practice it
