which do you prefer?? at700 or mp99??

i understand that at700 is head heavy, mp99 is even balanced but which one
suits you better?? they are both very different.
mp99 is all around but if u dun hit the sweetspot, the shot is bad.
at700 is offensive, good for smash.

i dun really care about durability, i care bout performance more.
i am pretty serious about baddi & wish to be better.
i am an all round player, not too good at drops, pretty good at nets, good at clearing & alrite at smashing. My favourite shot is probably smash, although my smashes r weak if hit from the very back of the court but can be deadly if hit from half court. I can do very good spinning nets if my technique and placement is good.
i dun really mind bout cost, cost is one thing, but just wanna know how many people use these racquets.:D

    opinions & comments r appreciated.

    Nano is good either !!!
u can try nanospeed 8000 or MP 99...both are good but now singles are all using 21 rally so a faster game requires faster kills !!!
So i guess u suggest u to stick on armotec series !!
Why not try At900 power??? Since ur favourite is smash...

    oo.. thx,
at900 is stiff and hard for me to generate power coz i am a weak person.
    at700 is more flexible.

i hav nanospeed 8k. But i feel that it doesnt suit me, coz it's headlight.
but at least it's good for fast swing.

at900p isnt bad though, other than the stiffness. I like the color. =)

many of the racquets listed here has been talk and review before.
if want me to choose either AT700 and MP99,
    i will take AT700, ummmppphhh power!! :D
what i heard of MP99 is not so durable although is a great racquet, the shop owner told me that he hates to sell MP99. return so many pcs back to Yonex for claim and very slow in replacement. this is one of the story i heard...

Not too sure about the relative stiffness but isn't the MP99 also rated as extra stiff like the AT900P?

Since your shot of choice is the smash, you might as well go for the AT700, it'll provide a lot of power to your shots. If you get it, get 3U.

EDIT: Btw, both AT700 and MP99 start off as "extra stiff". However, the AT700 shaft will soften up pretty quickly, so it'll become somewhere from stiff, to a bit flexy.

Neither suits my lazy style of play at this time, the MP99 though would if I where fitter and playing more competitions.

Sorry guys, racquets don't make you better in badminton, i suggest saving the money and using it on lessons or a coach instead.

...stick with your nanospeed, if you can't generate sufficient power with the nano, then don't even bother with armortecs....they are much stiffer and harder to generate headspeed with.

Do you really need that many racquets? Since i haven't met you i can't really comment on how well you play, but it seems you're an equipment junkie = )

yea, i know that skill is more important and the racquet is only a bonus but each racquet has different types. Even balance, head heavy, head light.
people will determine which is comfortable to play the game.

i am using ns9k X, X is the stiffest racquet ever, full stop.
armortecs r overall light but head heavy so it requires little effort to smash good. Nanospeeds r headlight, and requires more effort.

and besides, money is there for u to spend & already hav coaches and im improving at a steady speed. =)

    that's y i need a racquet to replace ns9k X.

First of all, the head weight in the armortec is does not make it any more manuverable and your wrong about it requires little effort to smash good ; because it takes more strength to move the head to the speed that you would normally get from a nanospeed. BTW i believe nanospeeds are actually lighter than armortecs, and from looking at your post about headlights needing more effort to give a good smash, i think the fact that the head is lighter allows you to accelerate the head faster with less effort... but since the head is lighter, you have apply more effort to hammer it. So to sum it up, you require less effort to accelerate the head in a nanospeed, but to make up for the headlight you have to apply more; and in the armortec you need greater effort to accelerate the head, but because it is head heavy you need not apply as much effort to hammer it. Therefore where one gains it loses on the other. Remember it's not about the equipment but technique.

Aside from all that, you have a nanospeed9kX to learn on and thats already beyond decent. I learned badminton using a aluminum headed, regular modulus graphite shafted isometric! Feel lucky!

PS, money is not for you to spend on stuff you don't need, it's for saving for an emergency or investing. How old are you by the way? Since you're a student like me, i don't see how you can just be saying things like that...unless you're spoiled that is. I have a job and i can't afford to just keep replacing racquets all the time like you. Presently i only have a few racquets...2x At700, 1x At500, 1 Iso53MF, 1Iso 65LT
