    Default Health issue

I was once a couch potato before playing badminton. Beside the enjoyment of the game, i can attest that badminton had improved my health and well being immensely. I am more alert when walking, stairway is no longer a discouragment, eat more without gaining weight, maneuvering (chassing) in a crowd mall is now fun, and meeting lots of new people. All thanks to badminton

Is a crowded mall in Vancouver as crowded as HK? Meeting new people via badminton is really enjoyable, especially when u start to get to know people through tournament play.

ha ha ha, i guess u r right, there's more people in HK. However, in canada, christmas is the biggest holiday here. I live in calgary, where it is now -20 C outside. So people in malls here still wear their thick fluffy outer coats which made maneuvering around them just as challenging.

Thanks to Badminton, I have quit gambling. Before I was gambling 14hrs a day, 7 days a week, and sometime I go to private club after the casino closed. That bad. No exercise, breathing heavy smoke in the poker room, and weighting 185lbs at 5ft 7". Now I am fit as a fiddle, weighting 160lbs, it would be nice if I can go down to 145lbs but I eat too much to get there. Midnight snack anyone?

My health has definitely improved due to badminton. I am 5 ft 9 inches and at one time weighed 185-190 pounds, wore size 36 pants. Now I wear size 32 and weigh 158-165. I drink much less, eat more healthy food, and have to lift weights and run on the track to stay fit for badminton. the only other time I was this fit was when I worked for a furniture moving company, lifting sofas, washing machines, and heavy chests sometimes for 10 hours a day. Badminton is a more pleasant way to keep fit, and people you meet don't think you are stupid, the way they do when you take their furniture from the moving van and put it into their new house.
