Hi all, Since our season started the 1st of August, I have blisters at the back of my foot. I did buy new shoes last year but didn't have problems with them at the end of last year.. So I tried about every sort of sock you could possibly imagine.. But what socks are actually good to play badminton with?? realy thick socks/ thin socks/ first a thin sock then a thick ? I'm desperate since I have blisters for a whole month already, and you can imagine that this is not fun, especially when you are going to play tournaments again soon... greets!
the formulae to reduce blister 1. new shoe, dont wear new sock 2. new sock, dont wear new shoe your case, might be the at the back of shoe. check properly, maybe some damages to the inside of shoe. add support pad at that area...? any pics to verify?
Hey!! Okay, so it seems we have found the solution here for that problem! It's actually really simple, but not so good for me I tould you that I experience this problem since the beginning of the new season! Well, Since then I train 3 times a week with or without blister stickers... When I train without them I experience the pain more and the blister opens again Well: It is normal that after a moth of rest you get blisters, but it seems I don't give my blisters time to heal because I train like 3 times a week.. So they said: stop training for a week or so.. But I think I choose for suffering pain since I want my ranking to go up and I have three tournaments planned in september I think we all know how addicting badminton can be So good advice all! Give your blisters time to rest, put on a sticker if you're an addict! And an advice of an international player/friend.. First wear normal sport socks and then over those put on very thick socks( for mountainwalking) if you have small feet Thanks and the thread can be closed I think .. P.S. drifit if you're really interested in seeing my foot/shoe I can always send a signatured picture or so
yup it is very good to give your blisters time to heal i remember i did that once and well it wasnt to pretty that i had to play a tourny with a blister but well after some advice from my coach it was good. the advice he gave me was that if you have an open blister put some crazy glue ontop of it and it will feel almost like new again and well i did it and it worked perfectly for me. Not to sure how many other people try this or have done this but yeah thats just my expirence but thats only if its an open blister like not with a calous.
I have the same problem when I play basketball but I just put my feet in water for like an hour before I play and then but cotton balls in the back of my shoe it works great
double sock it. try a thin pair of polyester/synthetic socks, and put a thicker, or maybe also a thin pair of cotton socks over top. the two socks should have minimal sliding if they fit well, but just enough to prevent blisters from forming since there won't be rubbing between you and your sock or shoe. make sure the first layer is very snug.
