I did a search and couldn't find much on Chao Pai shuttles. So, anyone in North America ever try Chao Pai shuttles?

I just ordered some from China. Initial impressions, the feathers appear very consistent and robust (Red and Purple). The cage is durable. I'll test them tonight... :D

If you read that in Cantonese, it sounds like they're copying down your licence plate # and writing you up. :p

    Nope to both.

Just about any manufacturer would have to custom make a 74 Speed. You'd have to special order.

Yeah, in Mandarin it's the same, "copying your license plate". :p

The actual name is pretty cool, "Chao Pai" actually means a name brand above all others.

If exactly word for word, wouldn't it be "super brand"?

Anyway, close enough. It's basically the same meaning. :)

Going to test an hour or so... :D

    From the pics alone..

..i could tell the shuttles are worth buying and playing:)...The feathers are consistent looking and yes, they look quite robust-very well constructed/made, i may add..;)
Btw, just curious, how much did you purchase them for/per tube??..;)

Just a small comment about shuttle testing..

The problem with testing shuttles is that I can order 50 tubes from 10 manufacturers.. try them out, adn select a winner, but..

Then after a few months i order 50 tubes again from the "winner" and find that the shuttles are not as good as the previous batch..

So the tricky part with testing shuttles is that consistent quality over a longer period of time and many batches. It is not possible to draw very good conclusions based on a few tubes imop :-( ... (apart from eliminating the bad ones of course)...

    cheers,
    Twobeer

TwoBeer: I believe most people are aware of this. I can only report my findings. Nothing more, nothing less. It's only a guideline.

Initial impression: all five grades played superbly.

Grade A Goose (Red): just about flawless, similar to AS-50.
Grade B Goose (Purple): similar to AS-40.
Grade C Goose (Blue): similar to Hi-Qua Red
Grade C Duck (Blue): similar to Hi-Qua Red
Grade D Duck (Green): similar to Hi-Qua Red

The most amazing thing was the flight consistency. All five grade flew consistently well. None to minimal wobbling and a smooth, predictable flight path. The control with each shuttle was excellent as well, as was the speed. A 3-4 of the 50 or so shuttles we tested had a very slight wobbly near the end of the flight path. But after a few hits, the wobble went away.

I was so impressed with the duck grade shuttles that if I were to play with or against any Pro, I would have no problem using the two duck grade shuttles!

Of course this is an initial test. I will go through the other tubes and probably order some more to confirm the consistency but so far, I could not have hoped for any better. These shuttles are truly excellent.

I had about 7 other people test the shuttles along with me and all of them said these were among the best shuttles they ever played and they were especially impressed with the duck grades. They could not believe the duck grade shuttles were "practice" shuttles. I couldn't either. :D

No paccurate price because it's not available in the U.S. The shipping alone was $50 USD.

Why aren't you asleep, Sir? :p

    The Green is duck
The Blue has both duck and goose options and it's stated on the tube.
