I think Zulfaldi is the brightest talent from the Malaysian Juniors. At age 14, he emerged as the Division 2 singles champion(recent Kedah Open) , beating all the Malaysian U-18 juniors and perhaps some of the National backup players.

    ..

I never see him play before but remember reading somewhere in Junior player blog when he compete in Malacca circuit early this year..he was left behind 12-20 in rubber set and caught up to win 24-22,he fell on the ground after finished the matched and collapse outside the hall and almost sent to hospital but he refused to go coz he still wanna play in semis and the next 2 days he won the final...

I forgot to add. As an unseeded player, Zulfaldi demolished 7 much older opponents, all in straight sets, to win the Division 2 singles. Imagine when he get bigger and stronger in a few years time...

Impressive… hope he got the motivation to keep going! There sure to be lot of distraction after he reach his teenage years where girls, “extra-curriculum” comes in and when pressure and expectation started to pill up and not to miss oout the mother of all destruction "INJURIES"… lot of young athlete drop from this point onwards.

From Europe maybe look out for HK Vittinghus of Denmark. He got as high as 47 in world until a horrible knee injury stopped him in his tracks in Aug 07. He is number 2 to Kenneth Jonasson as Greve in their premier division and is a lovely player.
Already has 2 EBU wins under his belt and is making a return to court this Feb 08. www.hkvittinghus.blogspot.com
Oh keep an eye out for Scott Evans of Irleland too. Best prospect from this neck of the woods in a long long time and is being personally trained by the great Jim Laugesen of Denmark. www.scottevansirl.com
