There prob is a post on this somewhere but i couldn't find it. I think about badminton everyday. All i want to do is play! If i could, i would play everyday but i only play about 2 - 3 times a week which is really frustrating. When i'm not playing badminton, i'm thinking about it. I'm on this forum everyday, looking at vids, reading books, thinking about playing and winning. I couldn't bear the thought of not playing. I'm itching to play right now! Played 3 days ago & not playing again til 2 days time. Thats a long time for me! :crying: Just wondering if any1 else feels the same?
when im at school, i always day dream about which racquet to get lol. but also dream on how to improve the game, even though it's only a game, badminton is almost like the other half of me. =) but i try my best not to get too addicted.
Yup I know what your talking about too well!^^ I would also like to play everyday, but pauses are good for the body to rest, and since I have no potential to become a professional schools also very important. I also think a lot about Badminton in lazy hours, what to train next time, what to concentrate on when playing.
i have to say, i play at least twice a week during summer break, but, when school starts, i wan to play badminton so much i just bring rackets and practice clears with my friends at lunch...
Keep it up everyone. I've been playing for 30 years, get fed up with it occasionally but mostly would play everyday if the wife would let me!! Now my two kids, aged 7 & 4, love it also - great excuse to go and practice!!
same here, i've just been playing for a month and im really addicted to it. altough i play only 3 times a week, in school during lectures my mind is always focused on plans for me to improve and stuff. Ahhh.
i'm so envious of all of u.....2-3 times a week is great... anyway i always visualise myself in badminton games no matter where i am
I have drawn a line across the back of my shed exactly 5 feet off the floor so I can practise shots - I think I'm probably an addict.
Yeah..2-3 times a week is already good during school time. Badminton is my favourite sport I think about it, I talk about it, I love it.
hahaha, great idea! Husbands should bring their toddlers/kids to badminton, let frens sitting out take turn to baby sit your kids while u play, it's a great combo Got that Kwun?
I must say, I too am addicted to badminton. During classes I daydream about playing in a tournament. After school, I immediately run to practice, even though no one is there yet and practice footwork, swinging, and service drills.
i am mostly a lazy sloth but badminton can get me up and itching to move around anytime. i play three times a week which is great because i prefer playing for exercise rather than running. i despise running. hahahahaha. i spend most of any money i could spare on badminton. but i dont daydream about badminton and i dont want to play everyday since i think the body needs a rest in between. so i think i am a little, tiny itsy bitsy addicted. not full blown addiction.............yet....
R u addicted to badminton Hi guys, The word "Addiction" looks so weird to me. I would prefer to use the word "passion" for the game as an alternative. When one is passionately about this game, the love for it is so strong that he or she will compete even the reward is not that attractive. I remember Singapore 's soccer team of 70s were so passionate about it, they played for the love the game n produced good result too. Lee
If "addiction" means having a compulsion to play badminton every X number of hours lest I suffer convulsions and foam in the mouth, then I am definitely NOT a badminton addict. I would rather call myself an enthusiast. I enjoy the game, but that doesn't mean I can't live without it.
Let's put it this way... Tonight I have to pull a double shift, working all night and through the next day. What did I do instead of sleep? Had a 2-hour badminton training session!
I love it lefty23 . Thats dedication for you! Once I had work from 9am - 6pm, played badminton singles game from 6.15 - 7pm at my local leisure centre and then headed up to my club 20 miles away (30km or so) and played from 8 - 11.30pm (doubles). Had no tea either that night! "Tonight I have to pull a double shift, working all night and through the next day. What did I do instead of sleep? Had a 2-hour badminton training session!" lefty23
