my friend has one, and i used it once, its a good racket for the money... ill post more next time i use it, i hit like a rally with it, thats all, because th 5U grip on hers wthout an overgrip was too small for me, but thats not a problem fer you as you can wrap overgrips
Thanks for the input. Would like to know the characteristic of the racket. It claimed to increase ball speed. Is that so?
if you want to increase ball spped/your power, get the discontinued muscle power 88, that racket is like legendary in my group of friends!!!I have one and I personally feel that i can smash harder and faster with it, and now i smash much more in my games. I didnt do that very much with my other rackets... most armortec and musclepower i have tried gives me the same feeling of more power, but the MP88 seemed to be even more powerful!!! ,it may just be me however... If you are not in a hurry, i can maybe use the racket again in a week or so, and post about it. otherwise, i thought it was a decent racket... more if i can play with the racket again.. Level: Intermediate / Advance Type: Offensive Flex: Stiff Head: Square/Isometric Weight: 84-89gm(3U-) B.Pt: 8 (Head Heavy Balance) Head: Graphite, gForce Ti Shaft: High Modulus Graphite the info above from badmintonalley, yonex doesn't have it on their site.
I have an AT 250. It's a relatively good racket, especially. I'm surprised it has survived thus far. I should think I need to restring it and get new grommets, but I haven't had the chance. The "Armortec" on the top on both sides seem to have been chipped away. Anyway, it's pretty adequate for smashing and such, and control isn't too bad. I can even get a pretty decent backhand smash out of it.
well, ok, i think I can use the 250 on saturday, here in the US, so, ill try to post, but if what you need is smashing power, i haven't seen a racket that is as powerful for me as the MP88, however, im not really what you would call strong, so, i think other people may disagree
I bought a AT250 (CD coded) for friend of mine. It is a decent racket for the money. I tried it for myself and it's good performing racket for intermediate players. -------------------------------------------------------------------- There is no such term as "ball" in badminton. It's shuttecock, shuttle, bird or birdie.
I am referring to the distribution code of the racket. CD = Canada. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/badminton-central/content/view/78/33/1/1/
i have an at250 i dont really dislike it but it doesnt feel that special. i dont like my grip so it might feel different after i make it smaller but it kinda hurts my wrist and since its headheavy and more heavy than my other racquets its hard for me to play with mine
im pretty small and kinda new to badminton but i usually play doubles and i like net play. im not powerful enough to clear all the way but i prefer to control people over overpowering them. i just play alot of drop and control shots. the at250 is alittle to heavy for those light shots and its hard to return smashes with it. but i guess if you are good enough it would be a little more powreful. its okay to clear on the at250 since its medium flex
Mike, thanks for the description. I think it might just suits me coz' I'm like the opposite of you... hahaha.
Hi Mike, Yeah, the racket's feeling would definately be a different compared to modifying a G3 to be smaller.
