the lens is equivalent to 36-432mm f/2.7-4.6 and the max iso is 1600. are there any stadiums with lighting bright enough for the casio to shoot at 1200fps?
i presume you'd need a shutter speed around 1/1250s. with the lighting on tv courts, to shoot near 1/1250s you'd need to be using f/2.7 and iso 6400 or f/4.6 and iso somewhere around 20000. a nikon d3 could handle these conditions but only at 11fps, not 1200fps :P

300 fps should be way enough, it's slowing motion down by over 10 times normal speed assuming ur playing it at around 30 fps, so you should be able to see plenty of motion.

Maybe this camera, in movie mode, can be used to settle any line dispute about whether the shuttle is in or out.

Finally someone filmed a badminton shuttlecock at 300fps

The kids giving it a good go, but I think he's a bit confused about how to smash a badminton shuttle.
BTW I've got my EX-F1 now, so hopefully there will be some 'proper' hi speed badminton videos appearing.
