from 15 to 31 lbs. That's the range people use. Now yonex HAS a warranty thing where it's void if you don't use their little 20-24 lbs range. So depending on how you play, how strong you are, from 15 - 31bs.

my stringer warned me that mp88 has a very fragile frame and will not string beyond 25lbs.

Depends on whether you have a 3U or 4U. If 3U, you can string higher, but 4U might not be able to handle it...

sorry to say this guys but you are all wrong....I am a user of MP88 and I think this is one of the best racket I ever use....MP series have the strongest frames ever, maybe your stringer is scared to string it more than the recommended tension better to look for a good stringer...
Mine is 4u and I guarantee that it can hold 28lbs of tension! Can't remember how many times that I had restring it for 28...
My advice to you is after stringing it at 20lb,have it string it to 26lbs let it stay a little longer then move up to 28lbs tension...you need to break in the racket before going to a high tension...
A word of caution your racket arm must be ready to use high tension racket, from my experience before,my wrist together with my arm hurt but as time goes by my wrist and arm got used with that kind of tension...
my recommended string maybe for a start BG 66...

I totally agree with u on that. Even though I've switched back to my cab 20, I still have four of them!

I guess Oriental is pretty new to badminton. Therefore, jumping from 20-26lbs would be too much for him. And in fact, 20lbs is a bit to slack to everyone and I would suggest him to start at 22lbs. String will has less effect on new player. So, If he wants it to last longer. BG80 might be a good choice. Just my 2 cents!

    perhaps, it is suggestive!
i've tried a swing power ti sr as a replacment of mp88 in the past. but in fact, it's no way close it (with the same string and tension.)
mp88 is a head heavy racket. i think that's reason why i can perform a pretty powerful smash out of it rather than with a swing power ti sr!

ahahah! I guess so. The reason I said that is because it's more flexable than the SA.
