I had took some photos with my new fujifilm finepix s6500fd. Not as easy as I think, especially indoor sports with low light environment. Took those photos with f2.8, speed 80, no flush and ISO 800. More photos can be found at http://www.badminton-network.com/allphoto.php, let me know your comments.
not bad, but i think you can 'place' your focus more. opt for the simple and sharp instead of the fancy. sometimes it puts your object out of focus. like for example, the player should be the focus of the photo. unfortunately, the green banner behind him and the chairs behind, and also the fan on the wall steals that focus. nevertheless, it is a satisfactory photo.
Mike, good effort. Wow didnt know your camera offers ISO up to 3200, much better than my D70s. http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/s/finepix_s6500fd/images/s6500fd.pdf
bruce at 3200, there will be too much noise. Any good noise-reduction software to recommend? Yes, focusing is always an issue for me, I'm still learning to focus better.
I think your camera focused on the background and not on the player. For noise, there's always noise ninja.
