MP-80 (3U @22lbs, JP) Broke!
I broke my new MP-80 (3U @ 22lbs, JP) after 5 weeks of playing doubles.
It's a single clash with my partner's 6 month old Ti-10 (2U, SP) and it leaves a crack about 1cm - 1.2cm around the frame with a big/deep ish of chip at 11 o'clock position! In contrast, it only leave a very small paint chip on my partner's Ti-10!
I mended the crack on my MP-80 with super glue and now I'm still playing doubles with my MP-80 but I fear that it will not survive another clash or restring!
I'm interested to know how is your MP-88 (3U, SP/UK/CP...) survive such kind of common accident?
Good luck and enjoy your badminton games.

well its a 3U which is less durable than a 2U.so i'm guessing that the 4U would break even easier.

It also depends upon how u clash and the angle of clash! It is just not that all rackets which are 3 u actually have a better chance of breaking! I have seen 3 u rackets break 2U Cab 21Sp! I think that cab 21 sp is one of the most solidly built rackets ever!
so just by a freak incidence we cant comment on the quality of the racket!

I'd disagree about that comment on the cab21. I don't think it is so solid.

I dunno, but i strongly believe from past experience that Cab 21 Sp is a very stable racket! As stable as a Cab 20 sp! Just kidding abt the cab 20.I know that u swear by it,so i took a dig at U!

Hi, I've not have any incidents with my 3U MP-88 SP racket yet.
It's strung at 25lbs btw.
I'm currently using it mainly for my singles play, it's really good! Similar to the Iso Slim 10 (2U) which I also have!
For doubles, I'm switching between the MP-100 and the MP-88. I'll only use the MP-88 with pple whom I partner often like Byron and this minimises the chance of any racket clashes! :P

That's a good strategy for doubles.
