    Yeah, I agree

I think it is reasonable to have a fee, for live-enevts and archives + high bandwidth..

But on the other hand.. If no one makes money of badminton.. How many put a huge effort in it, for just idealistic purposes?

I hope they get lots of subrscribers so we get more streaming, videos and live coverage on the internet!!

    Cheers,
    Twobeer

P.S. they streamed live from JO (I didn't know of the site at that time :-( , and now their archive has something like ten games i nvarious categories from JO, pretty sweet.. I signed for a 3 month subscription D.S.

Nothing is free? I thought it looked, from the fee schedule, as if they were charging only for the live tournaments. Otherwise, you would expect them to offer a pay-per-view charge for the on-demand stuff, too.

It's a moot point here as my browser doesn't show me the "Register" button in the TV window mentioned in the "How to Watch" explanation.

Has anyone managed to use this service? Paid or otherwise?

it's a std. mms stream, so I guess i could "rip" it.. But as I said.. I really would like the service to do well.. It seems like they plan live coverage for Taipei open, Macau Open, Dutch Open, danish open... I really would like to see those live with this good quality.. We are not spoiled with TV-coverage here where I live

If they don't earn any money on the site I guess it will just not survive for long :-(

hahaha, nor where i live ... having to watch on cctv using sopcast at the moment, i guess it's not too bad. only problem is, when the CHN players are no longer in the finals or semis, they normally don't cover it, which is annoying. i might just give wob a try ...

exactly.. And I went up 5 oclock in the morning this weekend, just to find CCTV where delaying the schedule til 7 in the morning :(

Also better quality and english commentary are added bonuses as I see it.. I hope this site becomes a success.. The contetn seems to be very good and I think 7 dollars a month is well spent to support more badminton coverage :)

ahahaha, i guess so, what's that, 5 euro?

i haven't looked at everything on the site, do they say who will be commentating?

if it's gill clarke, then it's well worth it, she really knows the game well and at least her comments are informative ....

Yea, I think thats about 5 euro..

(it seems to me like 10 dollars for single-pass is a bad option compared to the 3 month get everything for 25 USD..

I am not sure.. Its at least a female english commentator now commenting the Wiajay/Gunawan vs. Paaske Rasmussen :) .I don't know if it is Gill Clarke...

well, if what she's saying about their gameplay makes sense, then it's most probably gill.
anyways, make sure you write us a review of the site and their other services after you've had a chance to explore it a bit more.

Well If the quality and coverage from CCTV-5 is enough for your needs then of course you will not be interested in better coverage on paid services

When I try to use wob.tv the login-field doesn´t appear, the area has only a grey backround color.

Anyone has an idea, what the problem could be?
