    Hey!

I was looking at the WBF rankings page and I got curious about knowing what are the best countries. I know the answer is kind of easy to see for who's #1, but you may find this interesting.
What I did was to take the top 64 ranked players/teams in each category. 1 got 64 points, 2 got 63, 3 got 62... and the list goes on to 64 got 1 point. I then added up all the points and made some lists. Sorry for not going for top 128... but I was getting tired... Hope you still enjoy!
(By the way, if this kind of ranking already exists somewhere, please tell me so I don't have to go through all that again...)

I am not sure how attachments works, so I hope you can see it...

By the way, mixed doubles points were halved for men and women rankings.

And I almost forgot... rankings are up to date September 13th 2007.

I can read it, so I guess everybody can :)
I didn't expect the European countries to score so high, nice to see we're not completely unsignificant :D
    Great effort too btw, thanks!

i'm sure you got your sums right, but i think it's rather misleading.
for instance, there's no way i'd rank malaysia ahead of china for MS.

actually, you may want to check your sums, i've just looked at all doubles as an example because it looks fishy.
i agree with your all singles numbers, but for all doubles i have:

    CHN 485
    MAS 460
    INA 454
    DEN 309
    JPN 278

Why is that? Numbers don't usually lie... Is it because China has a lot more players ranked 65th and plus? If yes, let's not forget that China already has a huge advantage on other countries because of population. Maybe just taking the first 64 is a good idea after all...
