i have read some posts here and learnt that U means the racquet weight and G means racquet size (correct me if im wrong :p)
but, how do u tell your racquet spec?
coz im planning to buy a yonex one, probably at series so i need to know if im buying exactly i want :)

    thanks for your help

On most rackets, there is either a sticker like the Yonex ones, or they are printed on the racket what it's weight (U) and grip size it is (G).

    a warm welcome to BC.
may all of your badminton related questions be answered here.........:D
2U, 3U or 4U are used in Yonex series to indicate the racket's weight. 2u is the heaviest, while 4U is the lightest. G3, G4, G5 are used to indicate the grip's circumference size. G3 has bigger circumference than G4 and G4 is bigger than G5, G5 is the smallest available.
what kind of weight and size that you are looking for? head-heavy type? head-lite type? even balance?

no wonder i couldnt see the spec on my frd's wilson racquet...his racquet only states the exact weight of it.

ahh sorry i didnt even know theres a serach engine, i will make the best use of it :)
    regarding to this thread:

the difference between 3U and 4U is only weight, however i read through some threads saying 4U is more fragile? Is that correct?

Lighter usually means less graphite material, so everything else being constant that generally makes a lighter racket more fragile..

There is also a plain U size (which is heavier than 2U), as well as G6, G7...etc., although these sizes are much more uncommon and usually only found in select models.
