    Updated September 05, 2018:

Just a little update/comment: wow, I found this old post and it is definitely outdated.

I can't believe I didn't recommend the Yonex AS30 back then. Looking at my comments, I stated the AS30 was inconsistent; I suspect I bought some fake shuttles as I've been using the AS30s for the past 8 years and it has been extremely consistent. It is my shuttle of choice along with AS40s and AS50s).

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I tried to test the most recent build date to give you the most current results.

Disclaimer: of all the reviews I've done, the shuttle review was the hardest. There are many variables that can affect the performance of the shuttle:

    Temperature
    Humidity
    Age of the Shuttle
    Exposure to the Elements
    Feather Consistency from the Factory
    Bad Batch, Good Batch
    Different Grades for Different Countries

If your findings do not agree with mine, don't worry. Again, there's such a wide disparity among all the shuttles.
I would not be surprised if there are differences in results, as I have found on quite a few occasions.

So, you should use this review as a guide or for comparison purposes only. And like everything else on BC, take it with a grain of salt. :p

Thank you again for the great review. Save many of us a lot of time. A good general direction indeed.

Actually, it's probably more like $5,000. :p I bought two tubes of each most of the time, and shuttles like the HiQua Blue (50+ tubes), Red (50 tubes), Chester (20 tubes), Aeroplane Black (10+), RSL T1 (20+), T4 (100+).

Also, I retested many of the shuttles since my original results were from 2 years ago.

Actually more, in the last 2.5 years, over $12,000. The $5,000 was just in the last year. :p

    Ah, it's finally up..

:)...Dan, i tried the Chao Pai Blues and Greens and for the price listed, IMO, they're decent (thanks for letting me try some):D:cool: Overall, IMO, they're comparable to the Hi-Qua Purples...Especially the Blue ones, pretty decent; although i think the Red and Purple ones would most likely last longer..

Thanks, Dan :) These results are pretty accurate in comparison to my own experiences as well.

thanks alot master dan, I'm sure this chart will be very useful in deciding which shuttles to buy in the future for many. Kwun, please sticky this thread!

I have imported 50x Hi-Qua Red and 50 x Aeroplane Red earlier this year before the price rise. I agree with you that they were both excellent shuttles, usually last more than a game (or two) each. On the other hand, I have the RSL tourney #2 and I think they were a little overated as the tip of the feather breaks quite easily. Victor gold I have also bought in bulk as they were cheap but regretted so much as they were made of duck feathers, flights were so inconsistent and damages easily I just couldn't be bothered playing with them. Will give a try of the Trump T203 as I travel again to Hong Kong.

yeah, i think we should all go through the list, see what shuttles NGP hasn't tested, and if we had some, send him like a half-dozen or so to add to his list.
