Default Can't delete your own post?

    Hi,

Well I wanted to delete my own post but it turns out that I can't. Can you fix that feature?

Also why aren't the signature features working even thou I have my signature there.

    Thanks.

    yeah. it is a feature.

it is better not to have people post something and then retract it. kinda like on TV. you said it, and it is on record.

Actually what I ment is there was a double post. I know I have a post on the wrong form but I can't remove it. It's better to have that feature working as it's suppose to be.

There wouldn't be a point of having a delete post option on the edit when it's already been disabled. Other websites who use this exact form templete works fine.

Matt, please read my first reply.

you just contradicted yourself. by definition, an "option" is "optional"!

Besides, the moderators can - and will - take care of double posts etc.

Kwun, that's not what I ment. If it displays there, it should be is a feature which the user assumes to be working as it is suppose to be. Not to find out after clicking, delete post to find out you don't have access to it, sort of thinking, why did I even both clicking it if it doesn't work?.

If you could change it not to have the delete part displayed at all, that would be perferred, or have the delete function work for the user as it was ment to be.

Nanashi, well it can be but I rather clean up my own mistakes instead if finding out later after clicking that particular option. www.athlonmb.com, which uses the same forum which I go to daily and if I make a mistake, I can easily correct it delete or repost as it was ment to be.

    Suggestions will be considered.

Nobody suggested the system was perfect. There's bound to be certain features acceptable/unacceptable.

One option is not to post a mistake, confirm your facts beforehand or state later that you were wrong.

Double posts aren't much of a problem at the moment. We'll bear this in mind if it does become a problem. I don't have any figures to back me up but judging from the previous forum, I'd guess it happens less than 2% of all posts.
