Hi guys, is there a difference between the 2 rackets mentioned above? or is it just the paintwork. I am currently using woven7 and i am thinking of getting another spare. Is there a difference between these 2?:confused::confused:

Comparison of woven 7 and woven 7i

    Hi Sgbad,
Why dont u ask our Dinkalot master:p for advice? Alternatively, u may ask Vince_Kan for his view on woven 7i. What I know of is woven 7 is a solid, stiff n durable racket. worth the value for money.;)They are only available in 3U and 2U model.

    Hi Sgbad,

I have tried both 7 and 7i....7 is really head heavy and one monster of a racquet....have since sold it away already....7i is stiffer but less head heavy....however it is still head heavy and quite a challenging racquet to use becos of the stiffness of the shaft....

    Regard,
    vince

Jerby would be another good person to ask...
The balance is the same for both rackets but the W7i is a stiffer and lighter than the W7. Some think of it as the lighter version of the W11 since it has the same stiffness and balance (but is a bit shorter)
For anyone that loves the W7 but wants more manoeuverability, the W7i is generally recommended if you can wield the extra stiffness.

Don't think that fella will sell it la....I prefer the 7i becos of the better maneuverability and the colour, 7 abit plain and dull.

I have nothing to add :p, nice job;)

IMHO (though the w7 was a long long time ago) the w7i is more balanced, better defense and almost unchanging in power... If you like stiff rackets that is...

Vince: the 7i(s) you posses are most likely noticeably lighter than your 7. This is the reason for your review (as I have found as well).

Based on SOTX information: both the 7 and 7i are identical in specs, the only difference is the stiffness. I've had Woven 7 ranging from 88.5 to 95grams. I've only had 7is that were 88.5 to 89.5gs. So the 92-95g Woven 7s were definitely heavier and hit harder than the 7i.

However, comparing the 7 and 7i in similar weights, ~89gs, both hit about the same, giving the edge to the 7i.

My conclusion is consistent with SOTX, that the 7i is a bit stiffer than the 7. All other characteristics are about the same.

Oh, and I find the 7i a bit less durable than the 7, but that could be because of the weight. I bet a 95g 7i would be a tank. :D

This is cause they're all lighter. Get some in that are 92-95g and I bet they will be the ultimate BOMB rackets. :p

LOL! :D My preference is the complete opposite. The 7 is a nice, demure, understated look, while the 7i got hit with the ugly stick. :p

I 100% agree with every body here. I have both Woven 7 and 7i.:)
However, I think ladies/girls more prefer the color in the 7is;:D and I think guys(especially DinkALot) like the color in the 7s.:p

I like the colour of the W7, but the colour of the W7i isn't that bad, just a bit.... how should I say this? Unique maybe? lol

comparison between woven 7 and woven 7i

    Hi guys,
I have tried to get woven 7 in shop outlets in Shanghai but they have run out of stock for woven 7 and make way for woven 7i.Maybe u can find some in Shenzhen or HK?:p Woven 7 is a solid, pretty beast which can withstand quite a few knock at least.;) It is definitely worth the value for money.

    Hi Dink,

Apparently the 7 and 7i i had were both of the same weight, i also had the same grip size for both. The balance of the 7 certainly felt different to me and suprisingly felt more head heavy than the 7i (The balance for my 7 was 289 while my 7i was 292).

But of course, you are the expert  so i rather not dwell too much...7i feels more comfortable to use IMHO. ;)

    Regards,

I agree, the 7i feels better. But, hmmmm, that's weird. If both rackets are the same weight and the 7i has a slightly higher BP, how could the 7 feel heavier? :p

In any event, like I've said before, it don't matter what science says; your nose, knows. And that supercedes all. Whatever you feel best playing with, that's what you should use. :D
